              Money can be
              different colures like
              gold, silver, and they
              have different
              pictures like 5
              kangaroos , emu and
              another kangaroo on
              the other side.
Money is different
• Money is
  different
  because we are
  in different
  countries and
  also different
  colures and
  pictures.
What dose money look like
• Coins- made of metal at a mint.
• Notes- made of plastic or paper.
• In most countries notes are
  rectangular and coins are
  circular. Most money has
  pictures of famous people and
the value of it on them. Coins
usually have the date on they
  were made on them. Australian
notes have a metal strip and a
hologram or clear part on the so
  it is hard to counterfeit.
•
Money and interest
• Banks don’t just store
  our money until we
need it. They lend it out
  to other people. Those
  people have to pay the
  money back and a bit
  more. The extra is
  called interest the bank
  pays interest
Why is money gold and silver

• Money is gold because
gold recusants the • And silver recusants the
  dollar note. cents notes
Why is money called money
• 1. Buck--Dates back to the days when
    deer hides were traded.--1740

• 2. Dough--Emphasized paper
currency's role as one of life's
    necessities.--1851

• 3. Dollar--Derived from the Germanic
    "thaller," used throughout Europe
and Britain from the 1500 to the
1700s to refer to large silver coins.
    The English translation was "Dollar."

• 4. Sawbuck--The name of an early
    sawhorse whose crossed legs formed
an X, the Roman numeral for 10, or a
    $10 bill.--1850

• 5. Grand--Short for "grand amount,"
which at the time was $1,000.--1920
What is money made of

Coins are usually made of
copper and another
element, such as zinc or
nickel. Currency paper is
composed of 25 percent
linen and 75 percent cotton.
Red and blue synthetic
fibbers of various lengths
are distributed evenly
throughout the paper.
Before World War I these
fibbers were made of silk.
Why has money got colures on them

• In addition to Newman, the film •
also stars Tom Cruise as Fast
  Eddie's protégé and rival Vincent
  Laurie, plus Mary Elizabeth
  Mastrantonio, Helen Shaver and
  John Torture. The screenplay was
written by Richard Price, and the
  film was directed by Martin
  Scorsese, featuring an original
  score by Robbie Robertson.
  Newman won the Academy
Award for Best Actor for his
  performance in this film. For
Cruise, this film along with Top
Gun and Risky Business are what
  most critics say cemented his
  status as a Hollywood icon.
