Scotland is a part of the United Kingdom. It's very beautiful.
The mountain are called the Highlands. There are lots of deer here.
Edinburgh is the capital city of Scotland. Edinburgh Castle is on a big hill in the city centre called
Castle Rock.
This is the St Giles Cathedral, it's near Edinburgh Castle.
Every year on New Year's Eve there's a big party in Edinburgh to celebrate the New Year. At
midnight, there are amazing fireworks all over the city!
Glasgow was a very important port in the United Kingdom's history.
There are lots of modern buildings there now, like the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre.
In the north of Scotland there are lots of lakes which are called 'lochs' in Scotland.
Scotland is the perfect to go-hiking.The coast is very beautiful, but the sea is very cold!
On special occasions, Scottish men wear a type of skirt for boys called a kilt, and they play a
Scottish instrument called the bagpipes.
Every year there is an important sports festival called the Highland Games.
