2. Bataar, or Stylized as “BatAAr” was founded in 2010, but had an earlier founding back in
2004 with two of the guitarists, Patrik and Simon. WEBSITE
BatAAr is the world's first and only Art Metal band. The concept of Art Metal allows the
band to employ a previously unheard diversity of styles and genre mixtures in their songs
while still maintaining an undoubtable signature sound. Everything from electronically infused
punk, power ballads and deathcore to djent and straight-up pop rock – nothing is taboo for
BatAAr. Art Metal also puts heavy focus on visuals, in order to further express the wide
range of emotions and moods maintained in the band's songs.

Since the release of their EP "ABSORB" in 2011, BatAAr have been constantly rising in
popularity worldwide and just recently returned from their first ever tour of Japan with
"TOUR2013 >> 2014 THE ROAD TO RUIN", in support of their upcoming singles and mini-album
"MEMORIA". BatAAr's VICIOUS evolution will never stop, and they have an incredibly
strong international fan support to back the up every step of the way.

3. WHAT IN THE WORLD IS ART METAL?

Metal is about conveying feelings from a
holistic perspective! Everything counts,
nothing is done without being given a thought
and our urge to always be a step ahead
shines through in every detail. Art is always
going to be a term that is open for
interpretation and creates controversy, just
like our music, our style and even the
meaning behind the name BatAAr. You will
never hear something outdone or outdated

4. Origins of the name?
The word Baatar (Mongolian: баатар, hero) is part of
many names signifying landmarks, areas and various
militant leaders in history (Although this may seem
irrelevant, it gives a varied perspective as to why BatAAr
may of chosen there name to be such an obscure one)
The Origins of the name as reported by Patrik and Simon derives from the Tarbosaurus,
and that BatAAr is a simple word play of the dinosaur, however it is unknown as to why
they chose that as the band name.
It has been noted that Simon and Patrik came up with the name one day in Highschool,
and neither of them know how to pronounce it so it has become accepted over time to
either pronounce it “BaTAWRR” or “Bah-tahhr”.
