Essay on Education and the Internet
Education and the Internet Due to the expansion of the Internet in recent years, schools and
universities around the world have been incorporating more technology into their classrooms.
Computers are ever present on college campuses, and many teachers are including them for class
activities on a daily basis. With email, a teacher or can be in contact with his or her students outside
of the classroom to discuss class work. Computers in the classroom are extremely beneficial for
students, more importantly; the use of the Internet allows students easy access to an abundance of
information.
Writing an essay in a Moo room is useful for both students and teachers. The structure of a Moo
room allows the reader to skip from one room...show more content...
Receiving help is as easy as communicating with the other people online. This saves the hassle of
arranging a meeting with a teacher or classmates. This is beneficial because an instant response can
be obtained in a matter of seconds. Also, this is the most appropriate place for a correct response to
any Moo related questions.
When an essay is completed in a Moo, it is out there for the world to see. In other words, anyone
and everyone in the world who has access to the Internet can view it. This leaves an essay open
for criticism, which can be used constructively to help the student develop his or her work. It also
beneficial for the teachers. It allows the teacher to view the student's work with the click of a
mouse. No longer does class have to be in session for work to be accomplished. Teachers can view
an essay over the Internet, then email the student back his or her grade at any time they desire.
Essays written on the Internet also free the teacher from carrying around stacks of papers.
Although Moos have many advantages, there are also certain drawbacks to creating an essay in this
fashion. When writing an essay in the Moo, the Moo editor may be needed.
The editor contains certain commands that are needed to get around throughout the rooms, and it
may be hard to memorize them all. This can be a stressful task to learn the commands, but once they
are familiar, travel throughout the Moo rooms is much easier.

Private Schools vs. Public Schools Essay
Parents often wonder how to start off their children's education. Depending on ones religion or
beliefs a private or public school is a choice most parents face. Of course, each school offers it's own
pros and con's the choice is simple. Public schools offer the best well rounding of a student.
While being enrolled in a public school, students are faced with real outside world problems, are
with a different blend of students each year, and are also introduced to the latest technology faster.
While, a public school the money is offered to them by the state easier then having donations like a
private school. Ones child will most likely be with the same students throughout their educational
years. Classes aren't as big and varied like...show more content...
These classes allow students to pursue a career from the knowledge they have obtained. For
example, one might take a business class, which could lead to a career in the business industry. On
the other hand, in Private schools they only provide the necessary classes required by the state. In
some intermediate private schools, Home Economics and Shop classes Brady 2 aren't even offered.
Unlike Public schools these classes have been offered since fifth or sixth grade and up. The
uniforms in private schools ones child will be wearing would not allow the child to show character
in his self. Uniforms may make life easier in the long run, but think of how many different ways in
style people express themselves. There's skater, prep, sporty, gothic, hippie, or whatever is
convertible. In public schools, ones child has many different ways to fit in or dress how they feel is
convertible to them. The sports in private schools aren't that excelled as ones in public schools.
Like in private intermediate schools there are not a variety of sports. Public schools offer sports as
young as their primary schools. Sports in Public schools seem to be widely known and are more
funded. The money that Public schools receive go towards uniforms, equipment, and top of the line
coach's. Public schools show to the community that they will educate and well round you child better

My Favorite Class Essay
My favorite classes this year were Mrs. Menzel's two english classes. I have learned so much
about myself as a reader, student, and an intellectual. Through both of her classes, we were given
endless amounts of opportunity. What I mean by this is, we got to choose our own topics to
study, books to read, and subjects to write about. We were truly treated like adults, which in my
eyes, helped prepare us for the "real world". Her willingness to let us grow as individuals was
very inspiring, because she believed that we could do it on our own, with a little push whenever
we needed it. I have gotten the chance to discover that I actually enjoy reading! Specifically, I
discovered that Jodi Picoult might be my favorite author as of now. Also, I realized that writing is
one of my favorite things to do, it is a passion of mine and I hope I can continue it somehow with
the career that I choose.
Personally, her two classes have helped me grow as a speaker, writer, and reader. In her CCC
class, I was able to write a profile on my dad, which really strengthened my relationship with him.
After printing him a copy, and seeing tears in his eyes made me very grateful for this experience
to share with him how much of a role model he is to me. In her English Lit class, I was able to ask
my grandma and mom what books they would recommend for me. Having these conversations
with them made their hearts warm, since I was showing interest in books for once (they are both
book lovers). Her class pushed me to be the best that I can, and it wasn't for the grade that I got. It
was for learning about myself, and what I was capable of. That's when I learned that her classes
are actually changing me as a student. For an example, when I was working on a project, I wasn't
basing every single sentence on what the rubric told me to do. I was branching out and working on
it because I truly wanted to learn more about the topic and put my all into it.
Thankfully, I have matured a great amount as a student because of Mrs. Menzel and her life
lessons through teaching, and by just being herself. I truly feel ready for college now because of
Mrs. Menzel, and I am grateful for that. This year, I changed my intended major from Business to
Education,

Essay About My English Class
I can remember seeing that I had to take an English class my first semester of college. I was
already overwhelmed with starting college, and having to write college essays made me get even
more nervous. I sat down with my mom and decided to look at the English classes available, and I
finally decided that I had to take an evening class to make it work in my schedule. The first day of
English came and now looking back it was not as bad as I thought. It made me a better writer and be
where I am today. It may have taken me some time to get where I am today, but at least I am on
the right track. English Composition helped me realize that I am my own author and have strengths
that I did not realize I had. When I first started college I did not know what to expect with an
English class. I liked writing about topics that interested me, but high school did not allow me to do
that. I took American History and we would have to write...show more content...
I learned many techniques from my professor. He helped me realize that it is okay to have your
own opinion as long as you back it up. He showed me that I am an author when I did not think I
was. He also told us to read our essays out loud when we proofread, and I always did this
technique before submitting all my essays. I can remember having to write my first essay and I
was scared, because I felt like I had to get a good grade. I started thinking about what tools I could
use to help me, and I decided to go to The Learning Center to help with my essay. When I went
there they would make edits to my essay and then explain what I should change. The tutor noticed I
used multiple choppy sentences and commas in spots there should not be. Sometimes I would even
go twice to make sure I did not miss any minor mistakes. Going there helped me feel more confident
as a writer and I learned from my mistakes. I had many helpful techniques from multiple people that
shaped me into the writer I am

Writing is way that we can express ourselves, it is a way to interface ideas and thoughts and to
prove a point. Throughout my writing experience or process I have struggled with writing
especially using details or really expressing myself my work. In this course Facts & Fiction: Portraits
in World Art I expect to gain more knowledge on how to write a perfectessay, story, letter, and
assignment. I expect to learn new genres and rhetorical situations. I also think my writing will
improve academically and I will develop my skills in writing. Also taking my writing to a different
point of view, level, and writing something different rather than the usual. I look forward to getting
feedback from my peers and learning their thoughts on my writing and how they can help me
improve.
Reading and writing were two things my parents use to always push me to improve and work on
more often. They always told me they are the essentials of everything thing. Even though I
disliked both at a young age as I grew older I preferred writing because I can always change the
way I write and write from my point of view, really be creative with it and prove my point.
Growing up I always loved writing short stories especially scary stories. I always was creative
with them and even made them realistic. To write an essay I usually have a couple of steps
writing an outline, and the thesis a draft and finally a final draft. The most difficult part about this
is writing the thesis because the whole essay revolves the thesis because it summarizes the whole
essay. At the end of some essays, I had to use citations to do that there were many websites that
helped me cite sources such as easybib which was a really simple process. So, citing sources was
one of the easiest things about writing the essay.
Writing to a teacher is way more complex then writing to a fried or a family member. Writing to a
teacher is way more complex, I must make sure that everything is on point or it reaches the state of
protection. Which is having the right format, a great thesis and really conveying the point of the
essay. Writing to a friend or a family member is much easier I usually don't focus on grammatic
errors or writing a perfect thesis. Today some of us don't

My Best Day At School
My Best Day at School
"Hey, mom what's for breakfast?" I shouted while getting dressed.
"I'm making pancakes & eggs." She shouted back at me. I hoped that she would at least wake me up
earlier before 6 am so that way I could take a shower before school. But instead, she woke me up at
7 am. I soon got ready for school & walked down stairs for breakfast.
"How many pancakes do you want?" she asked.
"I'll have two." I replied as I sat down at the table.
"Here you go," she said while she set the plate down on the table. I soon later got done & was
waiting for the bus. I saw my mom cleaning so I went up to her to ask a question.
"Hey Mom, why do I have to go to school," I said jokingly.
"So that way you learn more stuff & you could soon leave my house when you go to college." She
said while laughing. But I don't know if I found it funny. "Well.... that's kinda rude." I said in a sad
voice. Soon later I started to leave & wait for the bus. It took a little while but the bus arrived. I
started to walk & got on the bus & sat at the back of the row of the bus. It was only me in the back
of the bus because all my friends either walk or they get rides from their parents or even brothers &
sisters. "Man I really don't want to go to class at all." I thought to myself while I was walking into the
school building. I soon got to my class & sat down at my table. Except Mr. Kane wasn't there. "Hey
Tom. Where is Mr. Kane." I asked him.

Essay about Public School vs Private School
There are different types of education that a student may receive in today's society. The choices
are narrowed down into two main categories, public and private school. Many people in today's
society believe it's better to send their children to private schools rather than public schools. To
most parents deciding which school system will be better is based on curriculum, class size, and
most of all cost. It's not an easy choice for parents to decide, but many parents feel their child is
worth receiving the best education offered.
The quality of teaching and the expectations of the students differ from the two schools. Advocates of
private school argue that the education received in one of these facilities is more valuable and...show

One of the most important distinctions between public and private schools is the cost. The
question regularly asked is, "Can I afford to send my child to private school?" Public schools are
funded by tax dollars, whereas private schools demand tuition from their students. With private
schools able to charge for tuition, and many charge for textbooks and materials, some offer
scholarships for students to help with what is commonly a great final cost. Public schools are
prohibited from charging for tuition, or other fees that could incur, such as: transportation,
materials, and textbooks. Most of the time if public schools need more money for education, taxes
are raised. Uniforms are no longer just a private school requirement as many public schools have
started to enforce this as well. Whichever education system a parent chooses there will always be a
cost, it is just the difference in price that has parents wondering is it worth it.
The school chosen is an investment in your child's future and not a decision to be made lightly.
Education is vital in today's society. Parents will always want what is best for their child especially
when it comes to education. The better the education the farther you will go in life. Deciding what
and where to receive the best education is always going to be a question for the masses.
Thesis: Many people in today's society believe it's better

Essay on Back to School
Back to School
Coming back to school was not something I was planning to do. It would pop into my head now
and then, but I never really intended to follow through with it. However, now that I am back in
school, it has changed my goals in my life, not only for me but also for my children. I want to be a
positive role model. I would like to be someone they could look up to and be proud of. As for me,
my role model was my grandfather, I always looked up to him and he has never let me down.
I grew up on the Navajo reservation, without running water and electricity. We used oil lanterns at
night to light up the house. It was not bright, but it was enough to light our little Hogan. We had to
travel about three miles...show more content...
Even so, my grandfather was an inspiration to me and he was a positive role model for me, and I
hope I could instill it in my children's future.
I did not plan on furthering my education after graduating from Monument Valley High School in
1993. Therefore, I went on to discover the outside world on my own. Some of my relatives would
try to persuade me to go to college. I did have cousins that went to college after graduation but
eventually dropped out. I use to ask myself, what is the point of going to college when I do not
have the motivation to go to school? Therefore, I left home, away from the reservation. I went to
the Grand Canyon and started working there in the hotel and restaurant industry. I truly enjoyed
working in the hotels and restaurants; it was a great experience for me. Only to find out that it is
leading me towards my path to my college career. I worked at the Grand Canyon for six years and
finally decided to move to Flagstaff. I started working at Embassy Suites, where many of my
colleagues were NAU students. They would talk about school all the time, and after a while, they
actually made me start thinking about going back to school. I also have three of my close cousins
attending the Northern Arizona University as well. So, I finally decided to go back to school at the
last minute.

Descriptive Essay About School Day
As an eight hour school day, filled with laughter and joy as I spent time with my friends, whizzed
by, I walked towards my bus. Looking around I could see everything from birds gliding in the
wind, their feathers glistening in the sunlight, to spiders in the bushes, working tirelessly to spin
their magnificently intricate masterpiece of a web. The trees are starting to change from a vibrant
green, to a light yellow, to a deep orange, and finally, to a bloody red. The contrast of all the
awe–inspiring colors will always be surreal in my eyes. Every year, I always think to myself the
same question, "Why, when such beauty exists, must it go away as quickly as it came?" I soon
arrived at my bus, the chipped paint giving it a marvelous antique...show more content...
"There's probably a universe where heads are shaped like rocks too!" Thomas proclaimed, a little
smile on the corner of his mouth. I turned to Beth, Obviously know that she was tired of hearing
about infinite universes, almost as much as she was tired about hearing what color a bus is, and
said, "There are even rocks shaped like Beth's head too!" At that comment she glared at me, not
with anger, but mostly with a sense of annoyance, yet there was a hint of humor in there, and I
knew I did not take it too far, this time, but there is bound to be other moments of my idiocy that
will get a little irritating. As we came up to mine and Thomas's bus stop, I could not help but
notice how elegantly the branches from nearby trees had drooped down to create shade for us as
we left the bus. It did not stay like that for long, but that was fine, it was a very inviting
temperature outside, with a slight breeze that made sure you did not get uncomfortable. From my
bus stop, it was about half a mile to my home, but I do not complain about that because there are
so many amazingly colored trees along the way, so many beautiful combinations of all different
colors, I can never help myself but to just be brimming with awe as I take my, almost, daily trek to
my house. As I travel along the side of

Cell Phones In School Essay
Many teachers believe that cell phones don't belong in a classroom because there are several
disadvantages. An example maybe a student who uses a cell phone in class has no intension in
listening or paying attention to the teacher. This student has a short attention span who cares about
socializing more than his/her education. Cell phones can be very disruptive; they can invade
people's privacy and can also be used as harassment or bullying. The usage of cell phones is creating
a huge problem particularly when they are used in school.
When a cell phone rings in a class, not only does it disrupt the class but it also breaks everyone's
concentration. Students can use cell phones to exchange work or answers in an examination or in a

Cell phones let you immediately be in contact with one another, and if an incident had to occur it
would be very convenient since you could communicate so easily. The students can easily put their
mobiles on silent or they could switch it off thus it wont disturb the class. If the cell phone doesn't
make any noise and the student is not using it during class then there is no problem. While it is true
that they can keep it on silent or switch it off but they could easily forget to do so and then it would
interrupt the learning progress and cause them to become restless. For the ring tone could be unusual
and funny to most people causing chaos.
Mobile phones have now become another weapon in which bullies and harassers can use. They are
now able to terrorize the victims with the little fear of getting caught. It too provides the bullies and
harassers to keep in close contact. Mostly tweens, teens and sometimes even troubled adults are
behind this cruel anti–social behavior– cyber bullying. 26% of teenagers cell phones users reported
having been harassed by someone else by their phones. 30% of girls are more likely to be
harassed as opposed to the 22% of boys. This is more prevalent amongst children whose parents
do not hold qualifications. However there have been cases where sexual harassment is the culprit,
so that is why it's more likely for girls to be harassed. There are two major differences between
schoolyard bullying and cyber bullying. Cyber

My Best Day Essay : My Perfect Day
Have you ever wondered what a perfect day would be like? An everyday routine starts to get
annoying and boring, especially if you don't get a day off. At the moment, my routine is to wake
up early, get ready for school, go to school, and after a long day come back home. From the time I
get home which is around two in the afternoon and by the time I go to sleep, it all consists of doing
homework. Sometimes I wish I can at least take a day off and relax, with having no worries. The
idea of a perfect day for me should be a day to get rid of stress, and should be an unforgettable day.

sudden it was really dark outside, but I was not scared at all, even though I was home alone. Now
it was around ten at night and I had finished watching the Halloween series. I turned my tv off and
started playing really loud music on my speaker. I knew it was nighttime and the neighbors might
complain, but at the moment I didn't care about anything. I enjoy listening to depressing songs
specially from Coldplay which gets me in the mood to cry. My eyes began to close so I turned my

Descriptive Essay About A New School
A new school, A new beginning. No acquaintances, No friends, having to restart my life. While
suffering with anxiety of what may lie ahead. Enduring fear of being rejected.
As a 9–year old girl, I still had a mindset that still needed friends who could influence me
positively. I found it difficult for me to make any new friends or truly be myself around anyone.
The need for belonging served as my only objective. Class after class, they all turned into
disappointments. Losing hope, I first stepped into his class, realizing everything would change.
As I approached the classroom door, A tall figure with short dark brown hair and eyes as blue as an
ocean greeted me. He also had a thin figure with great posture. With a charming smile, laid–back
presence like a carefree surfer. He always had a welcoming smile, no matter who approached him or
entered his classroom. Whenever he wears suits, he would match a distinctive tie, more unique each
time. Showing that he never wanted to be average. Looking at his appearance and his affectionate
demeanor, something told me maybe he could be the answers that I needed.
His classroom, one of the largest, was filled with a collection of different instruments varying from
flutes to drums. I did not know where to begin or what to discover first. As one of my first music

English Year 11 Essay
There are as many types of power as there are people" Is this true of the texts you have studied? In
your response you should relate to your prescribed text (1984) and ONE related text. Power can
be defined as many types ranging from physical, psychological, love, status or government. With
power comes great responsibility. If power is not controlled, negative consequences could be
developed. This is noticeable through the 2 texts that have been analysed, George Orwell 1984
and Disney Pixar Film WALL E. In both these texts, countless types of power can be extracted
whether it is being used for the good or bad. Power is Power, what you do with it is your decision.

Disney Pixar is portraying a strong message of technological power in which an individual should
not have a strong reliance on as it can backfire in the long run, this message is successfully
achieved in this film. The unusual use of technology as a tool of inflicting power also plays a
vital role in 1984. The recurring motif of telescreens suggests the disturbing presence of the
higher authorities invading privacy. "Winston kept his back turned to the telescreen. It was safer,
though, as he well knew, even a back can be revealing" tq...effect: evokes dramatic tension from
the result of being constantly watched & the risk of being caught which is constantly
repeated throughout the novel. Orwell evokes empathy as the reader relates to Winston as they
question the loss of privacy, dignity and freedom as well as the Government destroying the lives
of so many people yet they cannot do anything to fight back. The way in which George Orwell
describes the telescreen shows absolute power it gains over Oceania. "Who controls the past
controls the future. Who controls the present controls the past." (TQ) This portrays an important
example of the Party's knowledge of using false history to break down the psychological
independence of Oceania. Control of the past ensures control of the future, because the past can be
treated essentially as a set of steps that justify or encourage future goals. The Party creates a past

Essay about Higher Education
Higher education is optional, but to enter a respectable career, one must continue their education in
order to achieve his financial and/or personal goals. Teenagers who attend college use their extended
schooling to further obtain knowledge. The primary objective of higher education is to enhance
one's abilities for his future. A student can learn from school in numerous ways, but liberal education
is not a way to attract students into further and higher education. However, students can learn a lot
more through experiences that have affected their personal lives. I agree with author Mike Rose's
theory that education needs are reached to obtain a higher academic level by teaching students

However, he has not thought about the students who want to attend college and quickly earn their
degree so they can start their careers.
I disagree with Bloom because he encourages the idea of taking extra irrelevant classes to achieve
the experience of education. It usually takes about four years to earn a bachelors degree. There are
many courses such as English, math, history, art, etc. that a student must go through before they get
to start on the classes that concentrate on their intended major. These basic courses are part of a
program called general education. After completing general education (which usually takes about
two years), the students can then begin to study for their degree. Colleges should abandon the law
of students having to take general education courses because the courses are irrelevant to their field
of study, unnecessary and a waste of time. Instead of taking the extra courses, students can simply
meet their needs of a degree in a shorter period of time. Also, Bloom not only that wants students to
take general education courses, he wants them to further their education by taking advanced
irrelevant courses. Therefore, in their future, they would have numerous opportunities for a better
career. Because if a job is not right for the student, he would have other choices to obtain a new job.
Rose feels students should not learn from the canon books style. Students have an easier time
learning when they relate to the

Thesis Statement On Homeschooling Students
Thesis Statement:Students should not be homeschooled because they do not take standardized tests
and do not have certain support systems that public schools have.
Body Paragraph #1
Topic Sentence: Homeschooling children does not have certain requirements that are necessary in the
public school district.
Supporting Evidence #1: In the article it say, "Public school students are tested and graded to ensure
that they understand the subject matter. For homeschooled students, however, there are no required
subjects and the statute simply speaks in terms of instruction" (Richardson,2013).
Explanation: Homeschooled students should be required to take the subjects just like public schools
do. They need to be tested at all times to make sure they understand what you are teaching them,

So we can know our children are getting the proper curriculum. Homeschooled students should
know the same thing as our public schools children do. Also, we need to know how the child works
and if they have any progress in all the subjects that the teacher teaches. The teachers can not know
how the child is doing, if there are no tests to show it.
Supporting Evidence #2: But there's more; statics also say, "We need the conversation to change,
Coleman said. We're not denying that there are plenty of abusers in public schools, but we have a
system in place to help them. That's something homeschoolers don't have" (Stafford,2015).
Explanation: There is never a time when people go through the hardest times in life. Or want
someone to talk to. Public schools provide help for that. They have counselors for students to talk
to. They have programs for students to express their feelings and help them come out there shell. But
as for homeschooling, they do not have systems for that. Homeschooling does not provide counseling

Essay on School Safety: Protecting the Students
School Safety: Protecting the Students
For many students a positive academic environment is increasingly harder to obtain. This is mainly
due to their lack of safety. Whether it be inside the classroom or out.
Unfavorable situations at home, psychological stability, physical dangers and violence all contribute
to this evident shortage. There have been investigations on how organizations, teachers and parents
collaborate together in today's society to influence the students understanding of safety in school.
The purpose of this paper is to display some examples of each aforementioned contribution and show
some of the current measures being taken to aid today's students.
Developments within the past decade have opened up new ways...show more content...
And with not caring about safety, leads to not caring of academics. As stated in the NEA article,
This positive academic environment begins with safe families and safe communities, statistically,
schools continue to be one of the most secure places for our children. When that is taken away
from a student, they have no drive anymore to follow through with their education. A lot of the
time weaponry is involved. Children find guns in parent's drawers, or just while they are playing at
their friend's house. Older brothers and sisters who might be involved in gangs might have weapons
lying around or even feel its cool to show off to their younger siblings and their friends.
However, some of the worst violence is not weaponry. It is the harassment from student to student.
Psychological stability is a big issue today when it comes to safety. Peer pressure has left children
feeling the need to concentrate more on the popular things to do, then what is best for the student; an
education. In fact, Hazler, Hoover, and Oliver (1996) reported that three–fourths of the school
students they surveyed indicated that they experienced harassment and bullying to such an extent
that they suffered academic, personal, and social difficulties (Hernandez). Bullying can impact a

School Improvement Essay
School improvement is transformation. It is one of the most important actions of a school. It is a
process that schools must use with fidelity to ensure that at all students are given the opportunity to
perform and achieve at exemplary levels. School improvement is vital to schools and it is a process
that cannot be done in isolation. It requires team work, collaboration, and constant analysis of data
and setting of goals. School improvement goals focus on how to meet the needs of students.
Addressing the educational needs, funding, and achievement gaps between subgroups is
collaborative effort involves everyone that has a vested interest in the schools. These basic measures
set the foundation for improvement. And so, if it is the...show more content...
This is the most difficult step for schools, however, when working together, with urgency and a
mindset to improve, total transformation will occur. As we review and synthesize data of a district
for planning school improvement, the following information is needed to access and determine the
needs of a school. First, a thorough analysis of performance data must be reviewed to see how school
districts measure up with state and federal accountability. During this process, it is very important
that schools focus the performance indicators that will guarantee growth and success. School teams
must refer to the districts mission and vision to guide the planning process. The performance
indicators will provide data that will be beneficial in creating improvement strategies. So, after
careful evaluation of the data, the next step would be to plan effective methods and strategies that
will improve student achievement. Moreover, this plan should include needs, demographics and
opportunities for students to be successful. Additionally, the baseline data is important information
to include in the improvement plan.
Data is always the best resource for trying to improve student achievement. The data will help guide
continuous improvement of a plan. There are four types of data that will be beneficial to any team
during the planning phase of the school improvement process.
Demographics data, achievement data, perception

  • 1. Essay on Education and the Internet Education and the Internet Due to the expansion of the Internet in recent years, schools and universities around the world have been incorporating more technology into their classrooms. Computers are ever present on college campuses, and many teachers are including them for class activities on a daily basis. With email, a teacher or can be in contact with his or her students outside of the classroom to discuss class work. Computers in the classroom are extremely beneficial for students, more importantly; the use of the Internet allows students easy access to an abundance of information. Writing an essay in a Moo room is useful for both students and teachers. The structure of a Moo room allows the reader to skip from one room...show more content... Receiving help is as easy as communicating with the other people online. This saves the hassle of arranging a meeting with a teacher or classmates. This is beneficial because an instant response can be obtained in a matter of seconds. Also, this is the most appropriate place for a correct response to any Moo related questions. When an essay is completed in a Moo, it is out there for the world to see. In other words, anyone and everyone in the world who has access to the Internet can view it. This leaves an essay open for criticism, which can be used constructively to help the student develop his or her work. It also beneficial for the teachers. It allows the teacher to view the student's work with the click of a mouse. No longer does class have to be in session for work to be accomplished. Teachers can view an essay over the Internet, then email the student back his or her grade at any time they desire. Essays written on the Internet also free the teacher from carrying around stacks of papers. Although Moos have many advantages, there are also certain drawbacks to creating an essay in this fashion. When writing an essay in the Moo, the Moo editor may be needed. The editor contains certain commands that are needed to get around throughout the rooms, and it may be hard to memorize them all. This can be a stressful task to learn the commands, but once they are familiar, travel throughout the Moo rooms is much easier. Computers in the Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 3. Private Schools vs. Public Schools Essay Parents often wonder how to start off their children's education. Depending on ones religion or beliefs a private or public school is a choice most parents face. Of course, each school offers it's own pros and con's the choice is simple. Public schools offer the best well rounding of a student. While being enrolled in a public school, students are faced with real outside world problems, are with a different blend of students each year, and are also introduced to the latest technology faster. While, a public school the money is offered to them by the state easier then having donations like a private school. These classes allow students to pursue a career from the knowledge they have obtained. For example, one might take a business class, which could lead to a career in the business industry. On the other hand, in Private schools they only provide the necessary classes required by the state. In some intermediate private schools, Home Economics and Shop classes Brady 2 aren't even offered. Unlike Public schools these classes have been offered since fifth or sixth grade and up. The uniforms in private schools ones child will be wearing would not allow the child to show character in his self. Uniforms may make life easier in the long run, but think of how many different ways in style people express themselves. There's skater, prep, sporty, gothic, hippie, or whatever is convertible. In public schools, ones child has many different ways to fit in or dress how they feel is convertible to them. The sports in private schools aren't that excelled as ones in public schools. Like in private intermediate schools there are not a variety of sports. Public schools offer sports as young as their primary schools. Sports in Public schools seem to be widely known and are more funded. The money that Public schools receive go towards uniforms, equipment, and top of the line coach's. • 4. My Favorite Class Essay My favorite classes this year were Mrs. Menzel's two english classes. I have learned so much about myself as a reader, student, and an intellectual. Through both of her classes, we were given endless amounts of opportunity. What I mean by this is, we got to choose our own topics to study, books to read, and subjects to write about. We were truly treated like adults, which in my eyes, helped prepare us for the "real world". Her willingness to let us grow as individuals was very inspiring, because she believed that we could do it on our own, with a little push whenever we needed it. I have gotten the chance to discover that I actually enjoy reading! Specifically, I discovered that Jodi Picoult might be my favorite author as of now. Also, I realized that writing is one of my favorite things to do, it is a passion of mine and I hope I can continue it somehow with the career that I choose. Personally, her two classes have helped me grow as a speaker, writer, and reader. In her CCC class, I was able to write a profile on my dad, which really strengthened my relationship with him. After printing him a copy, and seeing tears in his eyes made me very grateful for this experience to share with him how much of a role model he is to me. In her English Lit class, I was able to ask my grandma and mom what books they would recommend for me. Having these conversations with them made their hearts warm, since I was showing interest in books for once (they are both book lovers). Her class pushed me to be the best that I can, and it wasn't for the grade that I got. It was for learning about myself, and what I was capable of. That's when I learned that her classes are actually changing me as a student. For an example, when I was working on a project, I wasn't basing every single sentence on what the rubric told me to do. I was branching out and working on it because I truly wanted to learn more about the topic and put my all into it. Thankfully, I have matured a great amount as a student because of Mrs. Menzel and her life lessons through teaching, and by just being herself. I truly feel ready for college now because of Mrs. Menzel, and I am grateful for that. This year, I changed my intended major from Business to Education, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. Essay About My English Class I can remember seeing that I had to take an English class my first semester of college. I was already overwhelmed with starting college, and having to write college essays made me get even more nervous. I sat down with my mom and decided to look at the English classes available, and I finally decided that I had to take an evening class to make it work in my schedule. The first day of English came and now looking back it was not as bad as I thought. It made me a better writer and be where I am today. It may have taken me some time to get where I am today, but at least I am on the right track. English Composition helped me realize that I am my own author and have strengths that I did not realize I had. When I first started college I did not know what to expect with an English class. I liked writing about topics that interested me, but high school did not allow me to do that. I took American History and we would have to write...show more content... I learned many techniques from my professor. He helped me realize that it is okay to have your own opinion as long as you back it up. He showed me that I am an author when I did not think I was. He also told us to read our essays out loud when we proofread, and I always did this technique before submitting all my essays. I can remember having to write my first essay and I was scared, because I felt like I had to get a good grade. I started thinking about what tools I could use to help me, and I decided to go to The Learning Center to help with my essay. When I went there they would make edits to my essay and then explain what I should change. The tutor noticed I used multiple choppy sentences and commas in spots there should not be. Sometimes I would even go twice to make sure I did not miss any minor mistakes. Going there helped me feel more confident as a writer and I learned from my mistakes. I had many helpful techniques from multiple people that shaped me into the writer I am Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. Writing is way that we can express ourselves, it is a way to interface ideas and thoughts and to prove a point. Throughout my writing experience or process I have struggled with writing especially using details or really expressing myself my work. In this course Facts & Fiction: Portraits in World Art I expect to gain more knowledge on how to write a perfectessay, story, letter, and assignment. I expect to learn new genres and rhetorical situations. I also think my writing will improve academically and I will develop my skills in writing. Also taking my writing to a different point of view, level, and writing something different rather than the usual. I look forward to getting feedback from my peers and learning their thoughts on my writing and how they can help me improve. Reading and writing were two things my parents use to always push me to improve and work on more often. They always told me they are the essentials of everything thing. Even though I disliked both at a young age as I grew older I preferred writing because I can always change the way I write and write from my point of view, really be creative with it and prove my point. Growing up I always loved writing short stories especially scary stories. I always was creative with them and even made them realistic. To write an essay I usually have a couple of steps writing an outline, and the thesis a draft and finally a final draft. The most difficult part about this is writing the thesis because the whole essay revolves the thesis because it summarizes the whole essay. At the end of some essays, I had to use citations to do that there were many websites that helped me cite sources such as easybib which was a really simple process. So, citing sources was one of the easiest things about writing the essay. Writing to a teacher is way more complex then writing to a fried or a family member. Writing to a teacher is way more complex, I must make sure that everything is on point or it reaches the state of protection. Which is having the right format, a great thesis and really conveying the point of the essay. Writing to a friend or a family member is much easier I usually don't focus on grammatic errors or writing a perfect thesis. Today some of us don't Get more content on HelpWriting.net

I hoped that she would at least wake me up earlier before 6 am so that way I could take a shower before school. But instead, she woke me up at 7 am. I soon got ready for school & walked down stairs for breakfast. "How many pancakes do you want?" she asked. "I'll have two." I replied as I sat down at the table. "Here you go," she said while she set the plate down on the table. I soon later got done & was waiting for the bus. I saw my mom cleaning so I went up to her to ask a question. "Hey Mom, why do I have to go to school," I said jokingly. "So that way you learn more stuff & you could soon leave my house when you go to college." She said while laughing. But I don't know if I found it funny. "Well.... that's kinda rude." I said in a sad voice. Soon later I started to leave & wait for the bus. It took a little while but the bus arrived. I started to walk & got on the bus & sat at the back of the row of the bus. It was only me in the back of the bus because all my friends either walk or they get rides from their parents or even brothers & sisters. "Man I really don't want to go to class at all." I thought to myself while I was walking into the school building. I soon got to my class & sat down at my table. Except Mr. Kane wasn't there. "Hey Tom. Where is Mr. Kane." I asked him. • 9. Essay about Public School vs Private School There are different types of education that a student may receive in today's society. The choices are narrowed down into two main categories, public and private school. Many people in today's society believe it's better to send their children to private schools rather than public schools. To most parents deciding which school system will be better is based on curriculum, class size, and most of all cost. It's not an easy choice for parents to decide, but many parents feel their child is worth receiving the best education offered. The quality of teaching and the expectations of the students differ from the two schools. Advocates of private school argue that the education received in one of these facilities is more valuable and...show more content... One of the most important distinctions between public and private schools is the cost. The question regularly asked is, "Can I afford to send my child to private school?" Public schools are funded by tax dollars, whereas private schools demand tuition from their students. With private schools able to charge for tuition, and many charge for textbooks and materials, some offer scholarships for students to help with what is commonly a great final cost. Public schools are prohibited from charging for tuition, or other fees that could incur, such as: transportation, materials, and textbooks. Most of the time if public schools need more money for education, taxes are raised. Uniforms are no longer just a private school requirement as many public schools have started to enforce this as well. Whichever education system a parent chooses there will always be a cost, it is just the difference in price that has parents wondering is it worth it. The school chosen is an investment in your child's future and not a decision to be made lightly. Education is vital in today's society. Parents will always want what is best for their child especially when it comes to education. The better the education the farther you will go in life. Deciding what and where to receive the best education is always going to be a question for the masses. Thesis: Many people in today's society believe it's better Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 10. Essay on Back to School Back to School Coming back to school was not something I was planning to do. It would pop into my head now and then, but I never really intended to follow through with it. However, now that I am back in school, it has changed my goals in my life, not only for me but also for my children. I want to be a positive role model. I would like to be someone they could look up to and be proud of. As for me, my role model was my grandfather, I always looked up to him and he has never let me down. I grew up on the Navajo reservation, without running water and electricity. We used oil lanterns at night to light up the house. It was not bright, but it was enough to light our little Hogan. Even so, my grandfather was an inspiration to me and he was a positive role model for me, and I hope I could instill it in my children's future. I did not plan on furthering my education after graduating from Monument Valley High School in 1993. Therefore, I went on to discover the outside world on my own. Some of my relatives would try to persuade me to go to college. I did have cousins that went to college after graduation but eventually dropped out. I use to ask myself, what is the point of going to college when I do not have the motivation to go to school? Therefore, I left home, away from the reservation. I went to the Grand Canyon and started working there in the hotel and restaurant industry. I truly enjoyed working in the hotels and restaurants; it was a great experience for me. Only to find out that it is leading me towards my path to my college career. I worked at the Grand Canyon for six years and finally decided to move to Flagstaff. I started working at Embassy Suites, where many of my colleagues were NAU students. They would talk about school all the time, and after a while, they actually made me start thinking about going back to school. I also have three of my close cousins attending the Northern Arizona University as well. So, I finally decided to go back to school at the last minute. The trees are starting to change from a vibrant green, to a light yellow, to a deep orange, and finally, to a bloody red. The contrast of all the awe–inspiring colors will always be surreal in my eyes. At that comment she glared at me, not with anger, but mostly with a sense of annoyance, yet there was a hint of humor in there, and I knew I did not take it too far, this time, but there is bound to be other moments of my idiocy that will get a little irritating. As we came up to mine and Thomas's bus stop, I could not help but notice how elegantly the branches from nearby trees had drooped down to create shade for us as we left the bus. It did not stay like that for long, but that was fine, it was a very inviting temperature outside, with a slight breeze that made sure you did not get uncomfortable. From my bus stop, it was about half a mile to my home, but I do not complain about that because there are so many amazingly colored trees along the way, so many beautiful combinations of all different colors, I can never help myself but to just be brimming with awe as I take my, almost, daily trek to my house. • 12. Cell Phones In School Essay Many teachers believe that cell phones don't belong in a classroom because there are several disadvantages. An example maybe a student who uses a cell phone in class has no intension in listening or paying attention to the teacher. This student has a short attention span who cares about socializing more than his/her education. Cell phones can be very disruptive; they can invade people's privacy and can also be used as harassment or bullying. The usage of cell phones is creating a huge problem particularly when they are used in school. When a cell phone rings in a class, not only does it disrupt the class but it also breaks everyone's concentration. Students can use cell phones to exchange work or answers in an examination or in a class....show more content... Cell phones let you immediately be in contact with one another, and if an incident had to occur it would be very convenient since you could communicate so easily. The students can easily put their mobiles on silent or they could switch it off thus it wont disturb the class. If the cell phone doesn't make any noise and the student is not using it during class then there is no problem. While it is true that they can keep it on silent or switch it off but they could easily forget to do so and then it would interrupt the learning progress and cause them to become restless. For the ring tone could be unusual and funny to most people causing chaos. Mobile phones have now become another weapon in which bullies and harassers can use. They are now able to terrorize the victims with the little fear of getting caught. It too provides the bullies and harassers to keep in close contact. Mostly tweens, teens and sometimes even troubled adults are behind this cruel anti–social behavior– cyber bullying. 26% of teenagers cell phones users reported having been harassed by someone else by their phones. 30% of girls are more likely to be harassed as opposed to the 22% of boys. This is more prevalent amongst children whose parents do not hold qualifications. However there have been cases where sexual harassment is the culprit, so that is why it's more likely for girls to be harassed. There are two major differences between schoolyard bullying and cyber bullying. Cyber Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 13. My Best Day Essay : My Perfect Day Have you ever wondered what a perfect day would be like? An everyday routine starts to get annoying and boring, especially if you don't get a day off. At the moment, my routine is to wake up early, get ready for school, go to school, and after a long day come back home. From the time I get home which is around two in the afternoon and by the time I go to sleep, it all consists of doing homework. Sometimes I wish I can at least take a day off and relax, with having no worries. The idea of a perfect day for me should be a day to get rid of stress, and should be an unforgettable day. As the sun started to come out, I knew it was time to start my day. The perfect day that I've always dreamed of was going to be today. I looked at my...show more content... In the meantime, while I was waiting for my food to get here I went to the kitchen to wash the dishes that I left in the morning. After my food got delivered I went back into my bed and started eating my orange chicken with rice. By that time, I was already in the fourth movie, all of a sudden it was really dark outside, but I was not scared at all, even though I was home alone. Now it was around ten at night and I had finished watching the Halloween series. I turned my tv off and started playing really loud music on my speaker. I knew it was nighttime and the neighbors might complain, but at the moment I didn't care about anything. I enjoy listening to depressing songs specially from Coldplay which gets me in the mood to cry. My eyes began to close so I turned my speaker off as well as the light and I went to sleep. At last, a perfect day for me should be different from any ordinary day, and should enjoy it like as if it was my last. I see a perfect day as not something outstanding, but more of like a lazy day. This day was one of the best days I've ever had because it's been forever since I've taken a break. Many people might do something like this on a regular day, but for me it was one of the days where I got to stay in bed, relax, and let all of the stress out. Days like this doesn't hurt and everyone has their own ideal day, but for me is all about being comfortable. As long as, I have a day off Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 14. Descriptive Essay About A New School A new school, A new beginning. No acquaintances, No friends, having to restart my life. While suffering with anxiety of what may lie ahead. Enduring fear of being rejected. As a 9–year old girl, I still had a mindset that still needed friends who could influence me positively. I found it difficult for me to make any new friends or truly be myself around anyone. The need for belonging served as my only objective. Class after class, they all turned into disappointments. Losing hope, I first stepped into his class, realizing everything would change. As I approached the classroom door, A tall figure with short dark brown hair and eyes as blue as an ocean greeted me. He also had a thin figure with great posture. With a charming smile, laid–back presence like a carefree surfer. He always had a welcoming smile, no matter who approached him or entered his classroom. Whenever he wears suits, he would match a distinctive tie, more unique each time. Showing that he never wanted to be average. Looking at his appearance and his affectionate demeanor, something told me maybe he could be the answers that I needed. His classroom, one of the largest, was filled with a collection of different instruments varying from flutes to drums. I did not know where to begin or what to discover first. • 15. English Year 11 Essay There are as many types of power as there are people" Is this true of the texts you have studied? In your response you should relate to your prescribed text (1984) and ONE related text. Power can be defined as many types ranging from physical, psychological, love, status or government. With power comes great responsibility. If power is not controlled, negative consequences could be developed. This is noticeable through the 2 texts that have been analysed, George Orwell 1984 and Disney Pixar Film WALL E. In both these texts, countless types of power can be extracted whether it is being used for the good or bad. Power is Power, what you do with it is your decision. George Orwell novel is a social commentary of a dystopian future in...show more content... Disney Pixar is portraying a strong message of technological power in which an individual should not have a strong reliance on as it can backfire in the long run, this message is successfully achieved in this film. The unusual use of technology as a tool of inflicting power also plays a vital role in 1984. The recurring motif of telescreens suggests the disturbing presence of the higher authorities invading privacy. "Winston kept his back turned to the telescreen. It was safer, though, as he well knew, even a back can be revealing" tq...effect: evokes dramatic tension from the result of being constantly watched & the risk of being caught which is constantly repeated throughout the novel. Orwell evokes empathy as the reader relates to Winston as they question the loss of privacy, dignity and freedom as well as the Government destroying the lives of so many people yet they cannot do anything to fight back. The way in which George Orwell describes the telescreen shows absolute power it gains over Oceania. "Who controls the past controls the future. Who controls the present controls the past." (TQ) This portrays an important example of the Party's knowledge of using false history to break down the psychological independence of Oceania. Control of the past ensures control of the future, because the past can be treated essentially as a set of steps that justify or encourage future goals. The Party creates a past that was a time of Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 16. Essay about Higher Education Higher education is optional, but to enter a respectable career, one must continue their education in order to achieve his financial and/or personal goals. Teenagers who attend college use their extended schooling to further obtain knowledge. The primary objective of higher education is to enhance one's abilities for his future. A student can learn from school in numerous ways, but liberal education is not a way to attract students into further and higher education. However, students can learn a lot more through experiences that have affected their personal lives. I agree with author Mike Rose's theory that education needs are reached to obtain a higher academic level by teaching students information that can be related to their personal...show more content... However, he has not thought about the students who want to attend college and quickly earn their degree so they can start their careers. I disagree with Bloom because he encourages the idea of taking extra irrelevant classes to achieve the experience of education. It usually takes about four years to earn a bachelors degree. There are many courses such as English, math, history, art, etc. that a student must go through before they get to start on the classes that concentrate on their intended major. These basic courses are part of a program called general education. After completing general education (which usually takes about two years), the students can then begin to study for their degree. Colleges should abandon the law of students having to take general education courses because the courses are irrelevant to their field of study, unnecessary and a waste of time. Instead of taking the extra courses, students can simply meet their needs of a degree in a shorter period of time. Also, Bloom not only that wants students to take general education courses, he wants them to further their education by taking advanced irrelevant courses. Therefore, in their future, they would have numerous opportunities for a better career. Because if a job is not right for the student, he would have other choices to obtain a new job. Rose feels students should not learn from the canon books style. Students have an easier time learning when they relate to the Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 17. Thesis Statement On Homeschooling Students Thesis Statement:Students should not be homeschooled because they do not take standardized tests and do not have certain support systems that public schools have. Body Paragraph #1 Topic Sentence: Homeschooling children does not have certain requirements that are necessary in the public school district. Supporting Evidence #1: In the article it say, "Public school students are tested and graded to ensure that they understand the subject matter. For homeschooled students, however, there are no required subjects and the statute simply speaks in terms of instruction" (Richardson,2013). Explanation: Homeschooled students should be required to take the subjects just like public schools do. They need to be tested at all times to make sure they understand what you are teaching them, ...show more content... So we can know our children are getting the proper curriculum. Homeschooled students should know the same thing as our public schools children do. Also, we need to know how the child works and if they have any progress in all the subjects that the teacher teaches. The teachers can not know how the child is doing, if there are no tests to show it. Supporting Evidence #2: But there's more; statics also say, "We need the conversation to change, Coleman said. We're not denying that there are plenty of abusers in public schools, but we have a system in place to help them. That's something homeschoolers don't have" (Stafford,2015). Explanation: There is never a time when people go through the hardest times in life. Or want someone to talk to. Public schools provide help for that. They have counselors for students to talk to. They have programs for students to express their feelings and help them come out there shell. But as for homeschooling, they do not have systems for that. • 18. Essay on School Safety: Protecting the Students School Safety: Protecting the Students For many students a positive academic environment is increasingly harder to obtain. This is mainly due to their lack of safety. Whether it be inside the classroom or out. Unfavorable situations at home, psychological stability, physical dangers and violence all contribute to this evident shortage. There have been investigations on how organizations, teachers and parents collaborate together in today's society to influence the students understanding of safety in school. The purpose of this paper is to display some examples of each aforementioned contribution and show some of the current measures being taken to aid today's students. Developments within the past decade have opened up new ways...show more content... And with not caring about safety, leads to not caring of academics. As stated in the NEA article, This positive academic environment begins with safe families and safe communities, statistically, schools continue to be one of the most secure places for our children. When that is taken away from a student, they have no drive anymore to follow through with their education. A lot of the time weaponry is involved. Children find guns in parent's drawers, or just while they are playing at their friend's house. Older brothers and sisters who might be involved in gangs might have weapons lying around or even feel its cool to show off to their younger siblings and their friends. However, some of the worst violence is not weaponry. It is the harassment from student to student. Psychological stability is a big issue today when it comes to safety. Peer pressure has left children feeling the need to concentrate more on the popular things to do, then what is best for the student; an education. In fact, Hazler, Hoover, and Oliver (1996) reported that three–fourths of the school students they surveyed indicated that they experienced harassment and bullying to such an extent that they suffered academic, personal, and social difficulties (Hernandez). Bullying can impact a child when it comes to learning. Having someone of the same age, belittle, embarrass, and put a child down, most of the time leads the child to Get more content on HelpWriting.net

First, a thorough analysis of performance data must be reviewed to see how school districts measure up with state and federal accountability.
