2. Office
Narrative
The narrative revolves around the main characters
criticisms of the everyday workplace. Both internal and
external dialogue play important parts to the film as on
this characters ‘break’. A series of unfortunate events
all characterise a typical ‘bad day’, starting as he enters
the staff room he immediately begins to look for his
food, finding that its already been eaten he progresses
to making himself a coffee he is consistently slowed
down by interaction with his colleagues. Until
ultimately his break is over, and he's achieved nothing
3. Characters
Characters
The main character (Dave) is a very average
white collar worker with strong opinions that he
keeps to himself. He criticises everything around
him, his boss, his job and general life in a
pessimistic and nihilistic fashion. Generally stoic
in nature he will also have subtle traits of a dark
sense of humour.
4. Setting
Setting
The entire setting of the short film is in a small
‘suffocating’ office. Dull colour and cramped
spaces make the majority of the feature
uncomfortable. This represents the ideology of
the character and his/her perception of the
environment
