1. All about Phd
Let us talk about Phd and try to share some information regarding this. It helps someone
who is in school and thinks that Phd is awesome stuff. There are many Phd programs
offer by every University. These days, Online Phd programs are also very common.
However, It is not possible to do Phd online for every subject. Some Phd such as Phd
Psychology, Phd Histroy, Phd in Philosophy, Phd in education can be offered online due
to nature of these subject. Other Phd such as Phd in Nursing, Phd in engineering, Phd in
science subject required a lot of Lab work and hand on experiments and not suitable for

What is Phd ?
Well!! PhD is called Doctor of Philosophy. It mostly abbreviated as Ph.D., PhD, D.Phil
(it is old name but still common). So, we can figure out from here it is abbreviated in
reverse format. I mean why not D.Ph. for Doctor of Philosophy. I guess to add some
Philosophy view it is reversed. Other reason may be it is hard to pronounce this way.
What is Phd degree? It is a degree granted to some one who does Doctor of Philosophy.
Anyway, we figure out the full meaning of PhD is Doctor of Philosophy. Any person
who got this degree in any field can put doctor in front of their name. Oh really, It is
funny actual doctor with MBBS degree are not postgraduate. Most of these degree started
by British so all blame goes to them for making it confusing. It mostly takes minimum
three years and some time never ending and students drop out from programs. It is
finished with having a final viva (interview by two-three experts) in your field of study

person to achieve this degree. Some people must be confused about choice of subject

Phd in?
Most of you may be thinking that Phd is Doctor of Philosophy so it can only be done for
Philosophy subject. Phd can be done in any subject taught in university and any topic of
interested can be selected by students and their supervisor.
Phd requirement?
The main requirement for Phd is a master degree in same or relevant subject. It varies if
we consider the Phd honor given to some people based on their contribution in a specific
field. Most of them are politician or rich businessmen these days. It looks like
Universities are using Phd as a tool to get donation or attaching their name tag with a
famous person. Hard way to earn Phd is to spend 3-5 years and write a big book on a
specific topic in a specific field or subject. You can do this by criticizing other people’s
work. For example saying A say this and B say this, both are contradictory so can not be
trusted and considering view of C we can conclude this and write your views. Sorry
friend, this is what they mostly writing. At the end of all stuff, you must write reference
of everyone otherwise copyright issue and many other laws are broken which you never
ever hear in your life. Phd can give you real view about how many law can be broken
with pen and paper and you can go to jail. I think, we must work for making this world
better then making bundle of laws.

2. Phd jobs?
Trust me, it is really hard to make money in Phd jobs. I suggest everyone to consider and
reconsider. This world doesn’t reward people who contribute to improvement of it. It
only reward who can make money using some business idea. Other word, if you can sell
something then you can make more money. Most of Phd students can get job only as Post
doc position or teaching to other like them. If you are lucky and working in IBM,
Microsoft, Apple etc after getting Phd. You will find yourself working under same
salesman I mentioned earlier. Successful Phd guys end up writing heaps of research
papers in well reputed journals and retired like rich dad poor dad story.

Yeah, Yeah, I can understand that the name is all. Harvard is like a brand in university
and anyone who did something from there is looked like a very intelligent man. Actually,
French fries and burger is same everywhere. But, McDonald one is selling hot booted by
their brand image and toy distribution idea with happy meal.
