FREE POETRY THING IF NEED

Poetry Book/Major Assignment
-The book willbe worked in class and at home. Whatever is not completed in class
must be done at home by the due date, Friday May 20th
.
-The poetry book willconsist of a cover and six poems. Five poems will be taught
in class and you will create your own poem for each the poemstaught. The sixth
poem will be a poem of your choice. Itcan be a second one that we have done or
one that you research and do on your own. I encourage you to find a new one.
-The poemsfor the book are: 1- Acrostic Poem
2-Haiku
3-Concrete Poem
4-Lymerick Poem
5-Free Verse Poem
6-Your Choice of a Poem
-The formatis that each page will have the definition of the poem and then you
will create your own poem following the formatof thatpoem. Your grade will be
based in three areas: Format 50
Grammar 25
Presentation 25
-I encourage you to be creative and have fun. Create boardersand add pictures!
**If you will need to printyour book atschoolit must be submitted prior to the
due date of May 20th
. Only papershanded in on that day will be accepted,
anything else will be marked late**
