A False Carriage is a non hydraulic piece of equipment designed to hang on the existing lift truck carriage that allows different mounting classes or types to be combined. If a truck has an ITA Class III carriage and the attachment has an ITA Class II mounting, then you would need a False Carriage with ITA class III truck mounting and ITA class II bars on the front. The False Carriage can be a vital piece of equipment if you operate a fleet of various lift trucks that use one or a few attachments. It will allow a fast and easy switchover on any lift truck.

A False Carriage can be used for the following applications:
 Mount attachment with different mounting type than truck carriage.
 Wider frame to stabilize wide load.
 Additional fork adjustment required for various pallets or loads.
 Allows four forks to be used to handle double wide loads.
Many combinations can be configured to match the lift truck and attachment mounting.

 Bottom hooks can be Bolt On or Quick Disconnect

 General Rule: Frame width should not exceed 1.5 X truck carriage width.
