3. Introduction
My name is Jimmy Merari. I'm a professional software
developer who has deep interest in photography. I learned
how to play with camera long time ago, but I shot on the
street only recently.
Many has been discussed about 'what is street
photography', where each camp promote their views and
opinions. After months of googling, lurking online forums
and attending workshops, I finally found the most suitable
definition for myself :
Street photography is a game
A game about synthesizing enjoyable visual design out of
chaos and disorder. In doing so, I don't have any specific
message to tell. I shot the street only for the sake of
enjoying the process and its results.
The following 70 photographs are highlights of what I saw
during 2014. My job as consultant allows me to visit some
Indonesian major cities which gives me opportunity to snap
some pictures. I wish you could find one or two pictures that
you could enjoy.
