Managing Director, to the Mayor’s International Trade & Development Council for the City of

John H. Nghiem, its founder and Managing Director, has been confirmed for appointment to the City of
Houston Mayor’s International Trade & Development Council for Asia and Australia (the “Council”). In this
capacity, Mr. Nghiem will work to advance the Council’s mission, which is to advise and assist the Mayor's
Office of International Trade and Development in the development and facilitation of international commercial
transactions that benefit Houston’s economy.

Mr. Nghiem brings to the Council his business, trade and financing expertise having worked in investment
banking, capital markets, and private equity for over twelve years. During his career, he has been an Associate
Director of the Global Energy Group at WestLB AG, a Principal at venture capital firm, Miletus Ventures, and
an officer of the investment bank group at Sanders Morris Harris, now known as Madison Williams & Co. Mr.
Nghiem received a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in political science from the University of Chicago and has
completed relevant course work at the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business and the Extension
School at Harvard University.
