is the popular chasing game and a variation we loved to play is what
some call Agawan base - we call it “Tayukok” in Bisaya.
“May dalawang base bale dawalang grupo yon, dapat may
magbabantay yung sa magkabilang base ang general aim ng laro ay
bantayan ang base ninyo at hulihin ung mga miyembro ng kabilang
kalabang grupo..”
It was a favorite Filipino game usually played by girls :)
this game is usually played at sunset or at night as a
challenge for the it to locate those who are hiding.
try to cross my line without letting me touch or catch you - Each member
of the group who is it stands on the water lines. The perpendicular line in
the middle allows the it designated on that line to intersect the lines
occupied by the it that the parallel line intersects, thus increasing the
chances of the runners to be trapped even only one(1) member of a
group is tagged the whole group will be the "it".
Two players serve as the base of the tinik (thorn) by putting their right
or left feet together (soles touching gradually building the tinik). A
starting point is set by all the players, giving enough runway for the
players to achieve a higher jump, so as not to hit the tinik. Players of
the other team start jumping over the tinik, followed by the other team
members.
The bahay-bayahan is a role-playing game where children
assign each other to be the father, the mother, while a baby
doll takes the role of the child. The perfect setting is inside a
Nipa hut. They then act out various household situations such
as dinner, going to mass, and the like.
a traditional Filipino Game played by two participants. The
objective of the game is to amass stones or cowrie shells in
the player’s home base (bahay) by continuously distributing
the shells around smaller holes until the player runs out of
shells to distribute. The person who collects the most shells in
his or her bahay wins.
Kicking bundled rubber bands. You should kick the bands
towards the air and never let it touch the ground. How to
score? The number of times you kick/hit the object is your
score. Difficulty level is increased by hitting
the takyan alternating using the right and left
foot, inside/and outside strike.
A popular variation of Luksong Tinik, one player
crouches while the other players jump over
him/her. The crouching player gradually stands
up as the game progresses, making it harder for
the other players to jump over him/her.
