TIME MANAGEMENT
I am very organized and can manage my time effectively and can priorities my work
load accordingly. On a daily basis, I have had to use my time management skills
effectively to ensure smooth running and achievement of learning outcomes. I had to
ensure students were on time to lessons not only to promote a pro-social attitude but to
ensure there were no incidents.
I’m my current role time management it essential to achieving my targets and
conversion rates.
I can organize my workload accordingly to effectively manage my time and get through
my workload accordingly.
COMMUNICATION
I am a naturally confident person and I have good communication skills. I have a good
understanding of how you can use body language as a form of communication and the
barriers that can effect positive communication.
I engage with different people throughout my days, in all my previous jobs good
communication has been essential.
I am currently doing a part time course which is an introduction to counselling and
listening skills. This course is helping me to improve my skills in how to listen effectively
and the importance of non-verbal communication.
I have learnt how to understand how a customer or how a client is feeling, by the pitch
and tone of their voice, which is a useful skill when in an over the phone sales role.

LEADERSHIP
I have run holiday and after school clubs where I have been responsible for managing
children and staff making sure all policies and procedures are adhered too and that
each child’s needs are known and acted upon.
I have been innovative and creative whilst planning activities with the young people I
have been working with, considering each child’s needs, and making sure the activities
are supporting their curriculum learning in a way which is interactive and interesting to
hold their attention.
I can use my professional authority to advocate for my service users and I am confident
in my abilities to work inter-professionally as I have done so in my last job roles.

PROBATE SERVICE ADVICER ( CO-OP LEGAL SERVICES) (NOV 2016-
CUSTOMER ADVISER
I am currently working as a probate adviser. My job is to determine whether a
customer needs probate and then advise them on their options. It is a soft sells
role and I have learnt about the legal formalities that are involved with probate. I
take inbound and make outbound calls to customers and appropriately offer the
full range of CLS products and services to them to enable them to make an
informed decision regarding their requirements.
In this role, I am speaking with customers who are recently bereaved, so I have
become more in tune with peoples feeling by the tone of their voice. I am
excelling in this role and I am reaching my targets. I have to liaise with clients
and solicitors in order to book meetings for a consultant,ensuring that they have
time to travel to and from clients homes. Providing good customer service in this
role is essential due to the nature of the role.
EDUCATION MENTOR (EDUCATION FIRST) (APRIL 2015-JULY 2016)
I have worked with children who have been permanently excluded from school. At times
this job could be very challenging as the children had behavioural problems as well as
problems with fitting into society. I gave them one to one support and helped them to
access education. I supported them with their behaviour and I found activities which
they enjoy. I have learnt to adapt to each child's individual needs and to spot signs of
anything that could suggest any underlying problem.
I have helped Young people to create individual action plans, identifying barriers to
accessing education, employment and training and helping them to remain in a positive
destination. I had to work closely with other organisations and specialist

I had to provide a wide diverse range of activities and It was important to be flexible to
change. I encouraged and supported each student to engage effectively and maintain a
relationship with the students. I could find and use different techniques to be able to
build positive relationships with each student. I have learnt to recognise signs of child
neglect and abuse as well as the procedure of raising a safe guarding issue.
PROBATION SERVICE OFFICER (PROBATION TRUST)(20009-2015)
I worked mainly with high risk offenders in a Probation hostel. My job role as to monitor
vulnerable offenders and look for changes that may cause an increase in their risk to
the public. I learnt to look for changes in behaviour that could mean they are abusing
drugs or alcohol in which case I would then drug test them or breath test them and
sharing this with their probation officers.
My main role was to key work residents and ensure they were complying with their
license conditions. I offered them one to one support, and tried to encourage them to
seek employment and housing so they could reintegrate with society successfully and
avoid reoffending. I aimed to promote positive change to try and to try minimise re-
offending. I confidently have run group and one to one sessions with tailor made
packages to help address offending behaviour.
Part of role was to help residents find employment as well as helping them find
suitable accommodation so they could move on successfully.
This job taught me about the diverse needs that people may have, to be tolerant and
understanding as well as empathetic to people’s needs. I enjoyed this job as I am
working with people who have challenging backgrounds.
I have become an expert in conflict resolution in sometimes very high pressure
situations. I have a calm approach to de-escalation and excel in mediating difficult
relationships and situations
Home carer (Oct 08 -Nov 09)
I started this job whilst I was at college studying for a Social Work diploma. I provided
general domiciliary care for the elderly and vulnerable in their own homes. I enjoyed this
job as it gave me a great feeling of satisfaction being able to help people live
independent lives in their own home.- In this job I learnt how important it is to empower
people and to give them the freedom of choice.

Customer Sales Advisor
My role was to contact existing customers and to give them advice on new packages
that could benefit them. In this job my communication skills improved immensely as I
had to convey complicated information to clients in ‘customer friendly language’ for them
to make informed decisions.

A bit about me
Thanks to my social work course and time as both a PSO (probation service officer) and
home career, I have learnt how to empower others to make positive changes in their
lives. I have enjoyed the challenges of working with vulnerable adults and children and
those with behavioral problems. I have found that working with these groups has been
incredibly rewarding.
I enjoy working where I am driven by target’s, and in a fast pace environment. I am
extremely determined and I want a career where there is chance to progress further in
the field.
I have a lot of customer service experience and I can handle complaints and unhappy
customers.
I have also volunteered for princes trust to improve my skills and have a better
understanding of the problems people can face leaving care or who are faced with
homelessness.
