Students in year 9 will complete 5 elective units, 2 each semester with an additional
Humanities elective.
To create the elective structure and ensure that courses offered reflect your interests, students are
asked to rank the units below in order of preference from 1‐10. There first ‘6’ preferences will be
considered with equal weighting and will be used to make up the 6 elective units for the year.
However, should one or more of the 6 not be available, the 7th ‐10th preferences may be used.
Please note: At this stage, units have not been allocated against lines or semesters. That will be
determined based on the responses to these forms.
Humanities
All students will study 2 semesters of compulsory History over years 9 and 10, one each
year. Students MUST study at least 2 additional Humanities classes over year 9 and 10.
