complex matrimonial and family law. Among his distinctions, Jeff Weissman achieved a place on
the Nation’s Top One Percent attorney ranking by National Association of Distinguished Counsel, a

3. How the National Association of Distinguished
Counsel Selects Members
The National Association of Distinguished Counsel (NADC) utilizes a four-stage process to create
its Nation’s Top One Percent ranking. In stage one, candidates are identified either by the NADC’s
internal research team or by being nominated. The NADC accepts nominations from its members,
a lawyer's current or former clients, and fellow lawyers.
4. How the National Association of Distinguished
Counsel Selects Members
In stage two, the NADC vets the candidates using such publicly available information as client
reviews, public profiles, and lawyers' websites. In the third step, the NADC research team presents
its findings before a panel of accomplished lawyers. These attorneys have earned distinction
through third-party entities apart from the NADC. They take into consideration such factors as a
lawyer's background and achievements to select high-performing professionals.
5. How the National Association of Distinguished
Counsel Selects Members
Lastly, in stage four, a judicial review board comprised of former judges analyses and finalizes the
list of candidates. The NADC invites all qualifying lawyers as a result of its selection process to
become members.
