2. Mount Herzl
In memory of Michael Levin
February 27, 1984 – August 1, 2006
This picture is from Israel’s National Cemetery. This cemetery is where all
Israeli soldiers and leaders who have lost their lives are buried. This specific
grave belongs to Michael Levin. He was born in Pennsylvania and we went to
the same synagogue. Michael decided to join the Israeli army and become part
of the paratrooper brigade. Michael was killed in battle.
3. Kotel
It is also known as the
Western Wall. People go to
the wall to pray and to place
notes in the cracks of the
wall. Men and women have to
be separated, the brown
woven barrier separates the
genders.
4. North District
The sunsets in the North District is not something you want to
miss. The second picture is really a giant rock hole that is like
nothing you have ever seen. You just have to see it in person.
5. Masada
This picture is from the top of
Masada. Masada is a desert
fortress. When translated to
English, Masada means fortress.
The sea in the back is the Dead
Sea and after that you can see
mountains, but they are blocked by
fog. Those mountains are part of
the country of Jordan.
