2. The volunteers at Meals on Wheels work from a
sheet they pick up at the office. It includes the
following: route #, name, address-directions to
get to each house, instructions for each house,
and type of meal. There are 7 routes in Fort

Once the volunteers get the meal sheet, they
put the deliveries together.

dessert, and milk. LSD means low sugar
dessert and some people did not get milk at

• Disabled
• Spouse is out of the home
• The person can not fix food for his or her self.
• The program looks at the person’s income to see if he or she has to
pay but will not make someone pay if his or her income is low and
can not afford to.
8. Three things I learned or
felt?
• I feel this is a great program it helps individuals
who do not have that help during the day with a
meal and their face lights up to have someone stop
even if it is only a few minutes to talk and help
them with having a meal for lunch.
• I learned that it is certain requirements the person
has to meet to get on the program.
