THE MAIN FACTS.
1. I STARTED NEGOTIATING WITH LAURIE IN MARCH, 2002.
2. STEVE GAGGERO PREPARED THE CONTRACT WHICH WAS NEGOTIATED BETWEEN THE TWO OF
THEM.
3. THERE WAS NO WRITTEN CONTRACT BETWEEN GAGGERO AND SOMERSET ON THE
“IMPROVEMENTS”LIST.
4. LAURIE WAS TO HAVE FREE RENT FOR A MONTH. THIS MEANT THAT I HAD TO PAY OUT OF MY OWN
POCKET FOR HER FEED, LABOR, SHAVINGS ETC. FOR 25 OR SO HORSES FOR A MONTH.
5. HOWEVER, WHAT MADE IT WORSE IS THAT GAGGERO DID NOT HAVE THE “LAURIE MOVE IN TO DO
LIST” COMPLETED UNTIL THE MIDDLE OF JUNE. SO NOW I HAD TO PAY OUT THE ABOVE EXPENSES
FOR TWO MONTHS. IT WAS ABSOLUTELY IMPERATIVE THAT THE CANTY PROJECT SUCCEED.
6. S. GAGGERO’S INABILITY TO COMPLETE THIS JOB ON TIME AS WELL AS THE RGA PAYMENTS IS THE
REASON I HAD TO CLOSE DOWN THE BUSINESS IN OCTOBER.
CONCLUSION.
THE $2,075 CREDIT TO SOMERSET WAS AN ADMISSION THAT GAGGERO
HAD NOT COMPLETED CANTY IMPROVEMENTS ON TIME (IN ACTUAL
FACT A MONTH AND A HALF LATE).
