1. Attach Tooling (D) to transmission assembly (31). The weight of transmission assembly
(31) is approximately 255 kg (562 lb).
2. Use Tooling (D) in order to install transmission assembly (31) .

3. Remove cable strap (37) from drive plate (38) for the converter.
4. Install bolts (34) .

5. Install mounts (40) and (43) to each side of transmission assembly (31). Install mounting
bolts (39) and (44). Install bolts (42) and (46) and install nuts (41) and (45) .
Note: Make sure that the holes for bolts (36) are clean and free of oil.
6. Rotate flywheel (35) in order to install bolts (36) .
7. Install cover (33) and bolts (32).
8. Install the transmission oil filter. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual,
"Transmission Oil Filter - Replace".

9. Install hose (30) to the hydraulic oil tank and install clamp (29). Connect hose assembly
(28) .
10. Move transmission filler tube (25) into position and install clip (27) .

11. Install bolts (26) that retain transmission filler tube (25) .
12. Connect clip (24) .
13. Position manifold (23). Install bolts (21) .
14. Connect harness assembly (18). Install a new cable strap (19) .
15. Connect hose assemblies (20) and (22) .
Note: Hose assemblies (20) and (22) were installed with the transmission.
16. Connect hose assembly (16) to the right side of the transmission. Connect hose assembly
(17) to the left side of the transmission.

17. Install solenoids (11) and (15) and install the plungers. Install nuts (12) and (14). Connect
harness assembly (13) .
18. Connect harness assemblies (8), (9), and (10) .

19. Connect harness assemblies (1), (2), (3), (4), (5), (6), and (7) .
20. Use Tooling (D) in order to remove Tooling (A) and Tooling (C) .
Note: Do not remove Tooling (A) from the front axle.
21. Install the front drive shaft. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Drive Shaft (Front) -
Remove and Install".
22. Install the rear drive shaft. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Drive Shaft (Front) -
Remove and Install".
23. Install the piston pump. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Piston Pump - Install".
24. Fill the transmission with oil. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Transmission
Oil - Change".

25. Use Tooling (D) in order to remove Tooling (A) and Tooling (B). Lower the machine to the
ground.

Start By:
a. Release the system pressure. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "System Pressure -
Release".
1. Use Tooling (A) in order to block the tires and prevent the machine from rolling.

2. Remove cover (1).
3. Position the parking brake handle into the released position. Remove cotter pin (2) and pin
(3).
4. Disconnect cable assembly (5) from parking brake lever assembly (4).

5. Remove clip (7) and pin (8).
6. Remove clip (6). Separate cable assembly (5) from bracket (10). Remove bolts (9). Remove
bracket (10).
7. Loosen nut (12).
8. Remove bolt (11), nut (12), and parking brake (13) as one unit.
9. Remove two bolts (15) (not shown).
10. Remove bracket (14).
11. Remove the parking brake cable through the floorplate in the cab.

Personal injury can result from being struck by parts propelled by a
released spring force.
Make sure to wear all necessary protective equipment.
Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended tooling to
release the spring force.
12. Remove spring (16) and brake pads (17).
13. Remove outer nut (18), inner nut (19), washer (20), washer (21), thrust washer (22), lever
(23), boot (24), cam (25), balls (28), retainer (27), sleeve (28), and cam (29).

14. Remove plate (30), sleeves (31), sleeves (32), and bolt (34) from plate (33).

1. Install bolt (34), sleeves (31), sleeves (32), and plate (30) onto plate (33).

Note: Orient lever (23) to Dimension (Z). Dimension (Z) is 60 degrees.
2. Install cam (29), sleeve (28), retainer (27), balls (28), cam (25), boot (24), lever (23), thrust
washer (22), washer (21), washer (20), and inner nut (19).
3. Tighten inner nut (19) to a torque of 13 to 14 N·m (115 to 125 lb in). Loosen inner nut (19)
to 240 degrees to 360 degrees.
4. After inner nut (19) is adjusted, install outer nut (18). Tighten outer nut (18) against inner
nut (19) to a torque of 61 to 75 N·m (45 to 55 lb ft).
Improper assembly of parts that are spring loaded can cause bodily
injury.

To prevent possible injury, follow the established assembly procedure
and wear protective equipment.
5. Install brake pads (17) and spring (16).
6. Install the parking brake cable through the floorplate in the cab.

7. Position bracket (14). Apply Tooling (B) to bolts (15). Install two bolts (15) (not shown).
8. Apply Tooling (C) to the threads of nut (12). Position parking brake (13), nut (12), and bolt
(11) as one unit.
9. Maintain Dimension (X) at 1.0 ± 0.5 mm (0.04 ± 0.02 inch) while you are tightening nut
(12) to a torque of 115 ± 5 N·m (85 ± 4 lb ft).
10. Install bracket (10). Install bolts (9). Tighten bolts (9) to a torque of 45 N·m (33 lb ft).
Connect cable assembly (5) to bracket (10). Install clip (6). Install pin (8) and clip (7).

11. Connect cable assembly (5) to parking brake lever assembly (4).
12. Install pin (3) and cotter pin (2).
13. Install cover (1).
14. Adjust the parking brake control. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Parking
Brake Control - Adjust".

15. Remove Tooling (A).

Drive Shaft (Rear) - Remove and Install

1. Use Tooling (A) in order to block the tires. Remove bolts (1). Discard bolts (1).

2. Remove bolts (3). discard bolts (3). Remove rear drive shaft (2).

1. Install rear drive shaft (2). Install new bolts (3). Tighten bolts (3) to a torque of 28 ± 7 N·m
(21 ± 5 lb ft).
2. Install new bolts (1). Tighten bolts (1) to a torque of 28 ± 7 N·m (21 ± 5 lb ft). Remove
Tooling (A).

Tire and Rim (Rear) - Remove and Install

1. Loosen lug nuts (1). Do not remove lug nuts (1) at this time.
2. Use Tooling (A) in order to raise the rear of the machine. Position Tooling (B) under the
rear axle. Lower the machine onto Tooling (B).
3. Remove bolts (2) from fender (3).

4. Remove filter (5). Remove bolt (4) and remove fender (3).
5. Attach a suitable lifting device to the rear tire and rim (6). The weight of the rear tire and
rim (6) is approximately 186 kg (410 lb). Remove lug nuts (1) and remove the rear tire and
rim (6).

1. Attach a suitable lifting device to the rear tire and rim (6). The weight of the rear tire and
rim (6) is approximately 186 kg (410 lb). Install the rear tire and rim (6).
Note: Ensure that all of the studs and lug nuts (1) are clean and dry.
2. Apply one drop of Tooling (C) to the threads of lug nuts (1). Install lug nuts (1). Do not
tighten lug nuts (1) at this time.
3. Use Tooling (A) in order to raise the rear of the machine. Remove Tooling (B). Lower the
machine onto the ground.

4. Lower the machine onto the ground. Tighten lug nuts (1) to a torque of 190 ± 40 N·m
(140 ± 30 lb ft). Then, turn lug nuts (3) by an additional 60° ± 5°.
5. Install fender (3) and install bolt (4). Install filter (5).
