Common Idioms
    (color for language)


An idiom is a descriptive and
colorful phrase, that is used
often, and means something
    different than the real
   meanings of the words.
A Piece of Cake:
A task that can be accomplished very
easily.

  Example: There are only 3 dishes instead of
    50, so washing the dishes tonight will be a
    piece of cake!

Stuck between a rock and a
hard place:
Having to choose between two difficult or
unpleasant choices
  Example: I can only take one friend to the party, but
    promised two of my friends they could go! I don’t
    want to have hurt one of my friends feelings!

On The Fence:
Means to be undecided.

  Example: He was on the fence between eating
    an delicious fruit or some yummy ice cream.

Something that will never ever happen.

Cover:
Decisions shouldn't be made only on how
something looks.
Example: I don’t think I will like this person
  very much because this person looks strange!
