behind for future generations. It is what a
person(s) is best known for and can be
either good or bad

your family originally comes from England,
Scotland, Poland, Ukraine…Find out where
your roots are!

especially those that were already in your family (jewels, books,
objects, etc.)

Build a chest, a quilt, a poster board, a book, a flag,
a coat of arms, etc. that represents what your family has left you
Be creative and choose something that represents your family. E.g.: If all of you
have a common hobby, go for it. Say you all love dirt bikes, make a template
and use it as your background to present your information!
YOU MUST INCLUDE (AT LEAST) THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION
-your family tree
-origin and meaning of your name & family name
-your roots in Canada
-Genetics (which physical and emotional traits you have inherited)
-Memories (some of the most important ones, both happy & sad)
-possessions (choose something valuable & explain its significance)

22. How to create a Time Capsule
A time capsule is a way to
communicate the present day to
the future
23. • Select a container:
• To store it inside, at home : a shoebox,
bin, or old suitcase might be quite
adequate.
• If you plan to place the time capsule
outdoors or bury the time capsule, you will
have to choose a container that is very
waterproof and weatherproof.
24. • Collect the objects to go in your time
capsule.
• Objects for time capsules need not be of
high monetary value.
• Choose things that reflect the spirit of the
present. What is unique about today?
