All days on a Tuesday
16th October:
Today was the first day of the DofE doing first aid. We watched a first aid video and tried to
put our own in a sling after learning about dislocating arms and joint then going into shock in
more detail.
We specifically learnt and demonstrated ‘going into the recovery position’
23th October:
Today was the second day of first aid and I got a folder to put all my stuff in
we talked about:
Allergies
Breathing problems
Cuts and grazes
And more about shock
30th October: Holidays
6th October: Miss wasn’t in school (therefore mini-meeting on Wednesday break-time).
Wednesday 7th November:
Check account and start doing at least one activity by the end of this week- I’m starting
physical
13th November:
Today we were given many sheets that are notes of nearly everything we’ve done so far
including:
Bone, muscle and joint injuries
Chest pains
Fainting
Recovering position
Bleeding (minor)
Chocking
First aid kit
22th November: (Thursday)
Today was the first day of navigation and we got into groups and plotted graphs. In the end,
we quizzed each other and my group won.
I also went on the DofE website today and found out that I could do art for my skill. I am
very glad about this as I have been looking for a skill for a long time now.
