  8. 8. SAMPLES OF WORK-ESSAYS AND PAPERS Section from my Green Marketing Plan The largest fear that companies have when thinking about moving towards becoming an environmentally friendly company is that of profit. Polonsky of business Horizons asks the big question, “Can we be green, clean, and profitable all at the same time” (Polonsky)? The question of profitability is always a consideration for all companies. For most companies, there is no point of doing something if you won’t make money? Companies continuously wonder if the financial liability is worth the investment (Green Marketing). The ultimate goal of a business is to make a profit, and what is good for the environment may not always be what is good for the financial status of the business. However, as the business world evolves, the more green marketing is seen as a worthwhile investment. The bonus side of green marketing is that companies can be proud of what they are doing, especially if they are selling products that are not only good for the environment, but good for their wallets as well.
  9. 9. SECTION FROM HISTORY FINALThe Yalta Conference was the meeting of Great Britain, The United States, and The SovietUnion to decide what to do with war shambled Europe. Great Britain was very weak from thewar, while The Soviet Union was the strongest out of the three. The Soviet Union hadpushed back Nazi Germany and momentum and victory were on their side. The UnitedStates was not weak, but they were by no means the strong dominant power that theyportrayed to be. FDR really liked Stalin and the ideas that he stood for. FDR believed theidea of communism was a good one. Stalin knew that he was the one who held the mostpower at the Yalta Conference and he would make sure that the Soviet Union would comeout winners. A main reason Stalin considered himself the winner is because both GreatBritain and the U.S. gave huge territories to The Soviet Union. Stalin promised to allow freeelections in the territories they received, but of course we know this not to be true. Stalin tookthese territories, like northern China, and put people like Mao Zedong into power.Communism would spread across Eastern Europe after the Yalta Conference. Thisconference possibly prevented democracy from happening in China and the rest of EasternEurope. Who knows where the world would be if it were not for the Allies giving up so muchto Stalin and The Soviet Union. The Cold War was a consequence of the Yalta Conference. With The Soviet Union controlling so much of Eastern Europe and territories in China it wasonly a matter of time before the U.S. would attempt to fight to stop communism. Stalingaining many territories and being able to spread the idea of communism is the reason heconsiders himself the big winner of the Yalta Conference.
