5. Planting — Brother Watchman Nee
(1930-1949)
1930–
The Lord’s recovery was
first brought to the
Philippines among the
Chinese population in
Manila.
A small group began meeting outside of the denominations,
initiating the Lord’s recovery in the Philippines.
1937 –
Brother Nee visited
this small gathering in
Manila, bringing the
saints into the one
flow of fellowship in
the Body of Christ.
6. Planting — Brother Watchman Nee
(1930-1949)
1942 –
In the southern region, a small group
of brothers, translated Watchman
Nee’s, writings into Cebuano dialect.
As a result, a denominational group of nearly 50 turned to the
Lord’s way of recovery by taking the ground for a testimony in the
city of Aloran.

Watchman Nee sent Witness
Lee to Taipei where he met
two overseas Chinese from the
church in Manila who later
urged him to visit Manila.
7. Watering — Brother Witness Lee
(1950-1960)
1950 –
Brother Lee arrived in Manila
to shepherd the church into
the practical coordination and
service.
He visited the Philippines for
3-4 months every year until
1960.

A special fellowship
conference was held in
the Church in Manila
attended by saints
from several countries
in Southeast Asia.

1956 –
The church in Cebu City was raised up, the
second largest city in the Philippines.

Brother Lee moved to
the United States.
Co-workers from Taiwan, frequently visited the Philippines.

and actively helped the gospel
propagation in the other parts

up in Ozamiz City. Where at
present the training center
houses the six-month long
Nazarite training.

Brother Liu chi Cheng came
to the Philippines. He initially
worked with the churches in
the South and later with the
church in Manila.

1984 –
Brother Lee sounded the
call for the young saints to
give themselves to receive
the training in the Lord's
Recovery.
Brother Liu received the instruction from Bro Lee and thus,
started the Full-time training.
In about a decade, the church spread in different cities with the
help of co-workers who paid a tremendous price that labored to
bring the recovery in this country.
13. 1985 –
Brother Liu-chi Cheng
moved to Malabon to take
care of the full-time
training.

The significant factors during these years of rapid growth:
• The turn to the native Filipino population.
• Closely following the pattern concerning training and the
God-ordained way.
• Arduous but blessed labor by many saints and serving
ones to visit, gospelize, and establish meetings in city
after city and village after village.

Expansion of Training Facility:
Steady increase in the number of trainees in the Full-time Training
in Malabon with more than 300 trainees every term.
The Training Center building is fully occupied and the present
facilities are heavily used.
We anticipate more young people to join the training in the
coming years due to the prevailing work in the campuses .
Thus the construction of Phase 4 of the present training center
began.
