MegaPixel IP surveillance cameras provide much higher resolution video than traditional analog cameras. A single 1 megapixel IP camera has the equivalent resolution of 4 VGA cameras or 8 CIF analog cameras. MegaPixel cameras allow for clearer identification and more image detail. Edge storage on memory cards allows IP cameras without internet access to continuously record video locally. Management software is used to configure IP cameras, integrate different camera types, and manage the large amounts of high resolution video data being recorded across networks of IP surveillance cameras.
