someone or something in a particular way.
Stereo type – a fixed idea about the
characteristics of a certain type of person or
thing (stereo types are usually negative)
The way someone is stereo typed is normally
based on the cloths they where , the music
they listen to , certain religion or social class
and even sexuality.

Emo’s have where black have black make-up and are unsociable
Blonds are unintelligent
Punks have Mohawks , patched jackets and where chains and studs (this is
represented in films such as slc punk and the filth and fury)
Girls are only concerned about appearance (this is represented in many films of the
chick flick genre)
All teenagers are gang members , dangerous and where hoods (this is represented in
attack the block)
Old people have walking sticks and cant take care of themselves
Men are strong and do all the work
Geeks spend too much time on the computer and are intelligent (this is represented
in the big bang theory with characters such as Sheldon and Lenard )
All white Americans are obese and lazy (this is represented in the Simpsons with
homer Simpson)
