5. The forgetful taxi driver
Sometimes the taxi driver will drive
away with your bag, and steal it.
6. “The palace is closed today” scam
Scammers stand outside the grand
palace and tell tourists that it is
closed today. Then they try to give
them a tour of the city for money.
7. The palace is closed…
The tuk tuk will give a cheap “tour” of the city, but then take people to an expensive
jewelry store they didn’t want to go to.
8. Jet ski scam
When you rent a jet ski,
they may say that you
damaged it and make you
pay money.
9. Motorbike scam
When you rent a bike, they may go
and steal it back and make you pay for
it.
You can avoid this by using your own
lock.
10. Dating website scams
Dating websites often have profiles of
beautiful girls that send a message to a man.
Not all profiles are scammers, but it is
unusual for a pretty woman to be the first to
send messages to men on the internet.
Mail order brides are something to be careful
of.

A gold digger is usually a beautiful
woman that marries a man for his
money.
12. Nigerian prince scam
The scammer sends an email to you that
says if you give them money, they will send
you more money.
Of course, after you give them money they
do not send money to you.
13. Phishing scams
You will get an email from “facebook” or
“paypal” that asks for your password or
information.
This is not really from paypal or facebook
and they want to steal your money or
information! Don’t give them the info!

go to sleep, be careful your bag

A loanshark will let you
borrow money at a high
interest rate. Probably

Sometimes you get a message saying “you won the
lottery” but you have to pay some money to get your
prize.
Also, the lottery in Thailand may have a lot of
corruption.
Buying stocks is much better and safer than playing
the lottery.
24. Food scams
Olive oil is expensive, and a lot is fake!
Sometimes they will sell you a cheap
fish and say it is a more expensive
fish.

Some charities are good, and really help
people and animals.
But most charities use a lot of money just
to do everyday business. Some don’t give
much to the people they want to help.

don’t help anyone.
