This article profiles Moses Selebatso, a biodiversity manager for a conservation project in Botswana. It discusses how he developed a passion for ecology while studying at the University of Botswana, where he also met his future wife. After graduating with a degree in ecology, he began working for the Botswana government as a wildlife biologist and was drawn to studying the unique Kalahari Desert environment. Though he initially studied tropical ecology, he found the desert landscape fascinating and now considers it his home.
