Background Information Some benefits of technology are that we are able to communicate with people in other states and other countries much more easily. We don’t have to take long trips to talk to our relatives who live out of town. We can just pick up the phone and call them. We also don’t have to walk or ride horses to get places any more, we can just hop in our car or fly in a plane
BackgroundInformation One of the most life changing benefits of technology is all the medicine that has been invented. The technology in hospitals has saved millions of peoples lives. There are many ways technology has helped us improve our lives, but there are a few negative side effects to technology too.
BackgroundInformation Some negative side effects to technology are that it is expensive. It is not always fairly divided between people Some countries like the United States have advanced medical technology and can help almost any sickness, but countries like Africa do not have a lot of technology because they can’t afford it and a lot of people can’t get better when they are sick.

The doctor will give you a specific kind of medicine that will help you feel better. Activity While filling out the worksheet students will try writing with an old fashioned ink pen which is kind of like the pens they used 100 years ago and then they are going to compare if it is harder or easier to use the old fashioned kind of pen or a newly invented mechanical pencil.
Assessment Name 3 treatments that have improved peoples lives Can everyone afford these treatments, even in other parts of the world What are some ideas to change that?
