our blood pound
for reasons
far more
than physical?

4. Is it meaning,
the quest
for meaning,
that sets our feet
upon the floor
to search within
another day?

5. Is it delight,
the joy of resting
at the furthest edge of wakefulness
in the warm caress of the memories
woven of a lovely day?

6. Is it love rinsing clean every painful
hurt, every worry with its
“Honey, I’m home!”
relief?
