This young designer started her career by
ripping into her grandfather’s old coats and
trousers that she found mothballed in the family
attic. Since then, she has progressed through
several phases tiering from masculine clothes
adapted to the feminine form to ultra feminine
to what she showed this season: superb draping,
rich materials of milk fiber, leather paired with
cashmere and cunning cuts. Some of her signa-
tures now are the dropped cross-waist pant and
separates for the modern, feminine woman. In
recent months she launched her AVH label which
is a more accessible price point than her couture
line. The designer is one of an exclusive group
in Paris to be classified “couture” and her Paris
Atelier is refurbished from a sumptuous former
house of pleasure. Watch for her new children’s
line just launched this year with lots of “mini me”
