I used a bold and bright title because the
magazine Plumline also had this; the magazine
I looked at also used play on words for their
title, as did I. This would appeal to my target
audience because it catches your eye and it is
short and snappy however I would consider
changing it so it is more appealing to an
audience that is outside of school that is an
older generation, as the title is quite immature.
New 6 formers
working hard to
achieve.
Plummy
Magzy.
New building in
progress!
The images I used were big news that was
happening in school: for example the
progression of the building and a picture of
new sixth formers working hard. I chose
these images as they would appeal to many
age groups group’s; adults would want to
read this magazine as their child may be
new attending to the sixth form and would
like to see what it was like, parents of
younger students to see if they were safe
around
the building works, it would appeal to
people outside of school for example ofsted,
governours as they will see that students
look like they are working hard and it will
catch their eye.
I took a picture of this side of the
building to show the progress that
has been made; the lighting is bright
which makes the picture appealing.
The text relates to the picture, it is
telling the buyer how well the new
building is going which appeals to all
audiences who are interested in
seeing the new building.
