2. MY GAME – 2D PLATFORMER
My game will consist of different levels in which he player has to navigate a series
of obstacles and collect coins in order to reach the next level. The first few levels
will be easy and are there to show the player how to play. As the game progresses
the levels become increasingly difficult with more obstacles to face and more coins
to collect. Some of the obstacles that I plan to have include; hard to reach
platforms, falling debris that will kill the player if hit, platforms that disappear if the
player stands on them for to long and weather such as wind, rain and snow which
will hinder the players movement. I also want to have power-ups in the game which
will give the player bonuses such as; increased jumping capability, increased speed,
temporary immunity to weather and temporary invulnerability. I have yet to decide
how many levels I will include in my game, it has to be enough so that the game
does not end to quickly but does not drag on for to long either.
