Statement
Stained glass was a hobby that I took up when I was 10 after my father had taken a class,
bought the basic tools and supplies, and not pursued the craft further. I am primarily self-taught, and
have developed many techniques that are efficient and precise, as well as an original and innovative
design style.
In the past, I have taught many adult classes in stained glass, but wanted to reach a wider audience
of both beginners and advanced learners. In 2007, I began marketing a 43-hour set of DVDs that
teach all I have learned about original design and precision craftsmanship.
I have also written and maintained a web site that is a campaign for original design and precision
craftsmanship in a medium where there is too little of those qualities. I continue to work full time at
stained glass as I have done for more than 35 years. The Internet has allowed people from all over
the world to purchase my artworks and my class on DVD. Besides the major commissions listed
3. above, I have completed more than 1000 residential and commercial commissions. I also make
great one of a kind gifts.
I have worked successfully with interior designers, builders, and architects. I remain open to new
ideas and styles in design, and I treasure the knowledge that comes from researching new stained
glass projects.
