2. Why Routine?
A daily routine is the ultimate guide for you to go about your day. You
will feel more energized, organized, and ultimately happier when you
have a plan to follow. Routine allows you to take control of your day and
feel a sense of empowerment no matter what is going on
A study shows that a daily routine can provide mental health benefits
such as reduced stress and cultivating positive daily habits.
3. The night before…..
Be prepared: Go through the next day: Pack your bag accordingly, Prepare the right
books and homework, have the right kit and your clothes ready.
Get off the screen at least 1 hour before sleep
Introduce a relaxing ritual, have a bath, read a book, do a sleep mediation that put your
mind and body into sleep mode

today!’ ‘Today I feel confident and calm’
Take time to get ready, washed, make yourself feel good
Eat breakfast: Prevents being ‘Hangry’
Take a moment for yourself before the busy day
Breath in the fresh air, Take in your surroundings on your walk, Put on a tune
that makes you feel good

6. Create your own Morning and evening routine
What is one thing you can do at the end of the day that prepares you well for the
next day?
What is one thing you know is not serving you that you can let go of? Late night
screens, not eating breakfast, snoozing the alarm
What is one thing you can step up to doing that will support a positive start to your
day?
Editor's Notes
How you end and start your day is your choice. You get to choose to start the day Positively (Organised, ready, excited, hopeful) Or negatively (Stressed, overwhelmed, lazy)
It of course can feel difficult to get on track with a routine especially after lockdown, but this is an opportunity to learn an essential skill you will use for the rest of your life.
