Unblocking Thought Life Obstacles To Change Your Life -- This Changed My Life
Feeling awake every day is just a state away
1. Feeling Awake Every Day Is Just A State Away
A friend asked me to today if it was possible to maintain and sustain that feeling of aliveness and awakening we have after
a life changing event. It’s a great question. You have an experience in your life that makes you feel more alive then you
ever have, then weeks, days, hours or even minutes later it fades.
Here is an email excerpt from that friend this week reminding me of a time I was in the middle of experiencing such a place
during a trip to Hong Kong in 2010.
“we all slept in this morning. great night out last night. after breakfast today i took off or another hike. i could see the peak
and was determined to reach it on this trip. it took one hour. and i was standing on top of the world. i could see heaven
itself. i was in the clouds, literally. i could see all the way around, 360, amazing. it was incredibly empowering. it made me
contemplate why we strive for more. what is it in us that pushes us forward always wanting more. i understand now how
momentum plays a role. once you succeed it becomes easier to challenge yourself to do more and become more. today was
an example of that, this trip, TR, the canyon, all of it. each success fuels me to do more. i am uncovering and starting to
understand my personal power and it’s incredible. being on the other side of the world, looking out over the entire city
from 3k feet today was a very moving experience. thoughts of u.” ~Me
Fresh off a Tony Robbins Unleash the Power Within 3 day weekend, followed a few weeks later by a trip to the Grand
Canyon with the Christopher Reeve foundation, I went to Hong Kong by myself to visit my cousin who lives there. By the
time I wrote that email I was on awakening overload.
Then a while down the road, things changed. Just so happens 2012 was one of the most difficult years of my life. A lot of
emotional, financial and health issues made every day a challenge to stay positive. It’s amazing how we can go from these
highest of highs to lowest of lows throughout our lives.
Yet isn’t it the experience of the lows that makes us appreciate the highs so much? We must go through such a low to
understand the highs. How else can you now what wealth is if you don’t know poverty? To the degree we experience these
things is up to us but we will know the depth of one through knowing the depth of another.
2. Behind me across the bay is the mountain I climbed. Now in the city I can see the scope of it all. Walking across hot coals
at the Tony event and experiencing the grandeur of the Grand Canyon are not things we can do every day to keep that
feeling. Tony knows this, and his events keep us coming back for more. He teaches so much more that it’s the knowledge
acquired and the friendships made and the tools he gives you, and all the activities for inner journey work that make the
events so special, and provide that feeling.
But we can’t always be doing one of these activities, so how do we work at staying at this “peak state” as Tony calls it?
Being aware is one of the most important points to remember. Monitor your thoughts. Have that burning desire to change.
Then assume the feeling of your wish fulfilled. Use your imagination to think about exactly who you want to be and what
you want to experience in life. Believe it long before you see it. To reach a higher level, you must have a higher concept of
yourself, you can never be someone you cannot see yourself to be. Use “I am” statements to help change that concept. “I
am powerful”, “I am confident”, etc. Now, live in full faith of your assumption to be true. Soon your desires become
actualities.
3. All of creation is already completed. That means all you have to do is manifest exactly the parts you want. No amount of
physical work will do this. It’s the inner work. The thought work. It’s all in your head.
The whole of creation exists in you. Your concept of yourself is what determines your time track and events that you
experience along the way. Your concept determines the path of your attention, which determines your thoughts about that
assumption. This concept of self determines what you are experiencing now and what you will experience in the future.
There are a lot of ways to work on changing. Tony Robbins events! Read, read and read more. Listen to audio books. Or
see a counselor. You need to find what works best for you.
But if you’re still reading then you are one of the few who really wants to change, and already you have because now you
are more aware then you were a few minutes ago. See it’s a circle, your belief creates potential in yourself, with that
potential you take action, from that action a result is created, and that result increases your belief! With each turn of that
cycle our state of awakening gets stronger and stays around longer. Have faith, do the work and live your best life.
He who knows not and knows not that he knows not
is asleep; let him slumber.
He who knows not and knows that he knows not
is awakening; be a light unto his dawn.
He who knows and knows not that he knows
is awake; teach him.
He who knows and knows that he knows
is a wise man; pay head unto his word.
