This presentation discusses scale as it relates to aerial photographs. It provides three examples of scale calculation problems: calculating the scale of a photo given the measured and actual lengths on the ground; calculating the scale of a photo given the focal length of the camera, flying height, and average terrain elevation; and calculating the actual length of something measured on a photo given the scale and measured length. The presentation is intended to demonstrate how to determine scale and make calculations related to scale for aerial photographs. It concludes by thanking the audience.
