holding someone’s hand.

4 INT. RED AND MABLE’S CAR - DAY 4

Mable’s in the car with her seat belt fastened and looking straight ahead. Red settles in the seat and has trouble
getting the seat belt buckled. As Red fumbles with the seatbelt, Mable looks at him and smiles.

Red doesn’t respond at all. He starts the car and moves down the driveway almost hitting a kid on a skateboard as he
crosses the sidewalk onto the street. The kid wipes out onto the grass. Mable just looks at him and shakes her Head.

“THE FIRST TIME WE MET”
                                                  WGA Registration #
                                                     From the script...

Summary:

“An older married man meets a younger single woman who he believes he falls in love with.
Over the course of time he senses the total lack of connection and realizes what love is not.
Freedom is achieved.”

50 INT. ALAN’S HOUSE - NIGHT – MOS 50

Alan crawls into bed and attempts making love to his wife, Linda...she’s having none of that tonight, Linda rolls over
to the other side of the bed, saying nothing.

51 EXT. WOODED AREA OF PUBLIC PARK – DAY 51

This area is remote and private with quite a few pine trees. Alan and Lisa run their lines and at one point during the
middle of running the lines, Lisa reaches over and pats Alan on the shoulder.

                                                         LISA
                                            (smiling and looking at Alan’s
                                                       shoulder)
                                                   Woah! muscles...
                                                         (beat)
                                                   ...threw me off.

                                                        ALAN
                                                       (nervous)
                                                      Huh? Sorry.

                                                         LISA
                                              (smiling and looking down
                                             while pulling her hair behind
                                                        her ear)
                                                 No, it’s fine...really.

The rest of the rehearsal with Lisa was awkward for Alan. Lisa was strangely at ease. She smiled quite a bit and kept
looking at his body more than his face the rest of the time. The two departed their usual way.

52 INT. COLLEGE AUDITORIUM -MONTAGE- EVENING – MOS 52

Opening night...The play runs well.

During a scene near the end of the play Alan dies. Lisa’s character is off stage. She refuses to watch because Alan’s
dying scene makes her cry. Lisa has headphones on listening to a CD with happy pop songs on it. She dances alone
and smiles happily.

                                                 ALAN NARRATION
Talk about irony...it kills me even
                                                         now.

                                                     From the script...

Summary:

"This morning I went into my crappy job, working on someone’s taxes...this afternoon I
was on a private G5 jet in route to the unknown. I gotta find something to do that’s
normal...in the middle...nah."
2 INT. OFFICE - DAY 2

John Massey, a very fit 30 year old male of Arab decent is preparing taxes for a client in his office. He walks with his
head down over to the coffee maker. John pours a cup. The cup overflows spilling coffee everywhere. John just
stares at the mess for a moment.

                                                         JOHN
                                                          Shit.

                                            Melanie walks up behind him.

                                                    MELANIE
                                                Lemme help you Joh...

                                                         JOHN
                                                  (cutting her off)
                                                Nah...I got it, Melanie.

John cleans it up while Melanie just stares at him. John slowly walks back to his cubicle with Melanie looking
on. John sits back down.

                                                         JOHN
                                                     I hate my life.

The phone rings again. John picks it up quickly.

                                                        JOHN
                                                       (yelling)
                                                       WHAT?

                                               FEMALE VOICE (V.0.)
                                                (sexy southern voice)
                                          Rose are Red...Violets are blue...I
have another life...now you do too.

The phone is dead. Silence. Melanie, now back at her desk, has been looking at John the entire time. John’s entire
demeanor changes. He just stares into space for a moment. John gets up with a blank look on his face. Puts his chair
neatly into it’s place. He turns and walks towards the door.

                                                      MELANIE
                                                John? Where ya going?
                                                       (beat)
                                                       John?

John doesn’t look back and just walks off, opens the door and leaves. Melanie just stares at the door as it closes
behind John.

BIOGRAPHY
The eldest son of a US Marine Corps fighter pilot, I was born in the
US Naval Hospital, Beaufort, SC in 1960. As a Marine Corps Brat, I
moved all over the USA living in South Carolina, North Carolina
twice as a child, Georgia, Louisiana, Kansas and Virginia. After
graduating from West Springfield High School in Northern Virginia, I
left for Pittsburgh PA to go to Architecture school. I worked as an
Architect for over 20 years after receiving a cum laud Bachelor of
Architecture degree from Carnegie Mellon University in 1984. I
lived and worked on the Outer Banks of NC and San Francisco, CA
working as an Architect, then moved to Wilmington, NC where I
discovered Acting and producing films as another artistic passion. I
now do both, creating art in more than one form.

On the film side of art, I have had leading and supporting roles in
films such as “Undoing Time”, which was Pat Hingle's last film,
“Death, Taxes and Chocolate!”, “The Waters” and most recently
“The Gritters”, among others which are listed on my “Acting
Resume”. In 2008, along with a friend of mine, launched Eyes To
The Soul Productions with our short film, “Old People in Big Cars”
and most recently finished a Trailer for a feature film called “October
House”, where I took the position of Director and Co-Producer. I
have also finished two screenplays, “The First Time We Met” and
“Choices” which will be submitted to film festivals in the future. I am
currently writing two Action films entitled “Death Angels” about
fighter pilots in Vietnam, and “The Other Life”, about under cover
operations.

My life has been a pursuit of art in many forms. Creativity is a
passion which can be translated into many professions.
Architecture, Art, Photography, Film-making all are channels in
which to funnel art from the mind into a tangible form. Sometimes I
feel like I am just getting started...I have much more to create.

OLD FRUCCI Yea. REPORTER What? Medal of Honor or something? OLD FRUCCI (smiling) No. (beat) You want to hear something funny? REPORTER About Vietnam? OLD FRUCCI No...different time...different place...before the war. REPORTER But, I’m writing this article on fighter pilots in Vietnam. The old man just stares at him saying nothing. REPORTER (cont’d) OK. OLD FRUCCI My wife grew up on a farm in North Carolina...her Mother hated me. Greg Frucci

I now do both, creating art in more than one form. On the film side of art, I have had leading and supporting roles in films such as “Undoing Time”, which was Pat Hingle's last film, “Death, Taxes and Chocolate!”, “The Waters” and most recently “The Gritters”, among others which are listed on my “Acting Resume”. In 2008, along with a friend of mine, launched Eyes To The Soul Productions with our short film, “Old People in Big Cars” and most recently finished a Trailer for a feature film called “October House”, where I took the position of Director and Co-Producer. I have also finished two screenplays, “The First Time We Met” and “Choices” which will be submitted to film festivals in the future. I am currently writing two Action films entitled “Death Angels” about fighter pilots in Vietnam, and “The Other Life”, about under cover operations. My life has been a pursuit of art in many forms. Creativity is a passion which can be translated into many professions. Architecture, Art, Photography, Film-making all are channels in which to funnel art from the mind into a tangible form. Sometimes I feel like I am just getting started...I have much more to create. Greg Frucci gfrucci@eyes2thesoul.com
