External Continuing Education
CentreLearn allows users or administrators to track external CE, which is the training and continuing
education firefighters, EMTs, and paramedics earn outside of CentreLearn. Types of external CE include
approved self-study, lectures, call or case review, conference session attendance, journal club
participation, college courses, or classroom refresher courses.

Here it grows again...our list of course offerings, that is! We are proud to introduce new course on
portable fire extinguishers and firefighter performance appraisals. Please click the links below for
information:
 Portable Extinguishers Types and Usage - Course objectives include discussing reasons for fire
extinguisher training, how to differentiate fire class ratings, ways to identify types of portable fire
extinguishers, plus how to properly select, use and inspect fire extinguishers.
 Firefighter Performance Appraisals - Course objectives include the importance of conducting an
honest performance appraisal, discussing when a performance appraisal is performed, exploring
the benefits of a performance appraisal, how to conduct one properly, as well as suggestions on
tools that may assist with the entire process.
