2. As I was walking to the bus
station, I felt happy, fear and –
above all – anxiety at the same
time. For I would finally meet the
girl who was shaking my heart.
She was a brunnete, she had light
brown eyes and dark brown wavy
hair. I saw her from far, smiling.
Oooh.. That smile... She was with
a friend that we had in common.
She would introduce us. With my
sweaty hands, my heart in my
throat and butterflies in the
stomach, I approached her and
said a simple “hi” due to pure
shyness.
3. And so, our friend introduced us and
she – smiling – hugged me. We talked
for a long time and when we realized,
we were alone. We laughed. We
looked at each other. I looked away
and told her to stop looking at me so
deeply. She asked me why and I said
that I was embarrassed and insecure.
She looked deep into my eyes and
said, there is nothing to be ashamed
of. Your eyes convey affection and
great peace. It will not be because of
your clothes or because of your pretty
face that I will like you or not, but
because of your way of being and of
your attitudes. Okay?
4. - Okay – I told her, with
cheeks stained,
looking down and an
embarrassing smile.
- I realized that you
have a crush on me
and confidence quickly
gave me the courage
to tell you this. She
winked at me, kissed
my cheek, gave me a
beautiful smile and
then she was gone.
Was I in love?
