2. Giant Pandas spend 55% of their day
munching on bamboo. In the winter
they take temporary shelter in
hollow trees, rock crevices and
caves, but they do not hibernate.
THE GIANT PANDA SPEACIES
Humans hunting Giant Pandas
caused the species to
shrink, pandas used to live as
far as Vietnam and stretching
north nearly to Beijing, but due
to poaching they are now only
found throughout most of
southern and eastern China.
3. HABITAT & LOCATION
Giant pandas live in
remote mountains
areas in central
China, where it is cool
and wet, with high
bamboo forests.The most damaging
result of development
has been that it has
divided the panda’s
habitat into little
islands of forest.
Today, many pandas
are isolated in these
small sections of
forest, because they
will cross into areas
where humans live.
4. THEARS TO GIANT PANDAS
Poaching of pandas is no longer a
problem although it used to be a
serious issue in the past, but over the
years it has been diminished, and now it
is no longer considered a major
threat, markets selling pandas skins
have disappeared, now consequences
for killing Giant Pandas have become
more server, a in some cases death is
the penalty.
