This is a necklaces made of numerous small beads mos times in form of
animals like frogs or turtles of shells. This necklaces are made of gold, and
they are worn by Astec nobility. This creatures are refered with water rain
and other sustenace. The frog is the symbol of fertility and the turtle is the
refrigeration of a woman in childbirth. This ornament where cast
individually by a lost wax processes. Each was cast with a different clay
mold explaining difference in size. These ornaments are said to have been
found in the the southern Mexican state of Chiapas. The Aztecs are best
for that time for their gold objects their technically accomplished works in
gold.
