Summary of the questionnaire “Eco Schools”
The main goal is to identify how eco-friendly students’ lifestyle is.
Respondents – 66 pupils aged from 15 to 18 years from Klaipeda “Žaliakalnio“ High School.
The average height of respondents - 171-180 cm.
Questionnaires results:
1. Majority of pupils sometimes recycle litter at home (54%), 29% recycle it always.
2. 83% do not turn the lights off when leaving the room.
3. 50% always take shower instead of bath trying to reduce the water usage, 50% - sometimes.
4. Majority of respondents use the water they don’t drink to water the plants (58%)
5. 75% always make sure that the water tap is turned off and not leaking.
6. 41% of pupils’ families do not use disposable plastic tableware.
7. Majority of pupils’ families use canvas bags for shopping (41%).
8. 50% do no throw away the leftovers.
9. 83% of pupils’ families own a car/motorcycle.
10. 46% eat local food.
11. 11 of all pupils pick up someone else’s litter, 8 – pay no attention to it.
12. Majority of pupils always have breakfast (63%), and drink milk (63%).
13. 63% eat fish at least once a week, and 75% eat meat.
14. 58% spend some time in the afternoon playing outdoors every day.
15. 63% go in for sport.
16. 42% walk to school, the same amount of pupils use transport.
17. Majority of respondents swim when going to the seaside (67%).
18. 38% watch TV more than 2 hours a day, 38% - less than 2 hours.
19. 42% of respondents do not eat too many sweets or drink soda drinks.
20. 71% eat vegetables.
