PROCEDURE
• Under operating
microscope,ideally
performed with sharp
myringotome and suction
apparatus.
• In ASOM,Curvilinear
incision made over
posteroinferior quadrant.
• In SOM radial incision
made over the
anteroinferior quadrant.

COMPLICATIONS
• Dislodgement
• Infection
• Persistent perforation
• Tympanosclerosis
• Thinning of TM
