Can you imagine making 3 simple changes (1 addition, 1 subtraction and 1 replacement) and vastly increasing your chances of shedding baby weight (or losing unwanted pounds at any point in your life)? I encourage you to do a few minutes of reading that might change your life.
1. ADVICE FOR NEW MOTHERS
Trust Me - If You Want To Lose Weight, Read THIS
My husband shared a link on Facebook yesterday, to a blog post titled “3 Simple Steps
to Weight Loss in 3 Weeks”. Now I don’t claim to be a social media maven, so I can’t
figure out why one post can go viral, while another is ignored, but it was pretty mind-
boggling how, even after I shared it on both my personal timeline and my Moms On Top
timeline, the extent of the activity was one, single, measly “like”. No comments, no
additional shares.
I guess the topic of fitness and health can be intriguing if you’re already on board, or
ready to take action and make changes, but I can see where it might evoke feelings of
shame and guilt if you’re not, especially if you’re a new mom, playing tug of war
between your own needs and the needs of your baby. I get it. So maybe the strategy is
to scroll down the page at lightning speed whenever words and phrases like “exercise”
and “eat healthy” cross your visual path. Is that true? Is there some avoidance taking
place? Is there a psychologist in the house?
2. Seriously, and honestly, this is not about my frustration with Facebook, or my frustration
in general. I’m just using it as a platform to get the word out yet again. You know… If
you don’t succeed at first…
My advice for new mothers who would love to lose the rest of their baby weight comes
from my heart. So, this is why I really, really want you to read “3 Simple Steps to Weight
Loss in 3 Weeks”:
- Because I think diets stink and set you up for failure. What you have here is the real
life way to lose weight and maintain that weight loss forever.
- Because I am a huge, gigantic, enormous admirer of the author, Steve Edwards.
(Google and follow him.)
- Because I find deep fulfillment in helping you reach your PERSONAL health & fitness
goals. (Not mine… yours.) I don’t care what they are, but if sizing down in your jeans
and possibly rocking a bikini are on your bucket list, pay attention to this article.
Everyone wants a piece of you, virtually and in real life. There’s a constant neon light
flashing in your eyes, screaming “Read this! Pay attention to me!” Bottom line – you get
to choose what you give your attention to, and to whom you give it. Naturally, the
choice comes down to “What’s in it for me?” Sometimes the answer to that may be
entertainment. We all could use a little chuckle. But, for the most part, I say ignore the
invitation to play Chefville. (I don’t even know what that is, but I have received a couple
of invitations – due, I’m sure, to my huge affinity for villages where chefs live.) Instead,
give your precious time to reading something that can change everything about you,
physically & mentally. And don’t just read it. Absorb it. Do it.
