Integrate «shipboard data» in a fleet management platform, able/allowed to
acquire the public AIS (Terrestrial and Satellite) information.
The platform can evolve in a tool for:
•  Near Real TimeVessel Tracking (more data with high frequency)
•  Vessel Situation Awareness
•  Early Warning Alerting Systems
•  Safe Navigation Improvement
!
All fleet data available in a web/
mobile application.
Not only fleet tracking, but
fleet management
(in/out dangerous areas, fleet
report, consumption
management)
Data Center
•  Remote viewing and
recording of the
shipboard AIS.
•  Transmission activable
"on demand” or based on
«Geographic Position",
when the vessel is in
defined areas (ports /
canals)
The AIS becomes an
element of the strategy of
fleet management
•  There are opportunities to use AIS data to provide additional
information to improve the safe navigation.
•  PARK Model (Potential Assessment of Risk Model) uses the AIS to
analyze and evaluate the risk of collision between two ships with
an advanced algorithm.
Data Center
The data of collision risk level of each ship are transmitted via satellite to
Fleet Management Service Center.
Through the Fleet Management Interface, the operator has the possibility to
display the risk of collision level for each ship or only for those with risk
levels beyond a specific threshold (collision alarms).
•  Shipboard information on the collision risk level become
available on captain and officers smartdevices,
(smartphone and tablet) connected (via WiFi) to the on-
board gateway.
•  An audible alarm, connected to on-board gateway, is
activated if the risk level exceeds a certain threshold.
•  The application on mobile device alert the captain and/or
the officers on the turnaround of ships in a certain range
of coverage (the range of coverage is a function of the
size of the vessel and its speed).

•  Risk Collision Level as an overlay of ECDIS
•  BNWAS may be activated (and generate the audible alarm
on the three stages in cascade) if the Collision Risk level
exceeds a certain threshold
•  All Collision Risk Alarms may be recorded inVDR
Master could exchange route in real time having all
relevant information available on his mobile device
