Twilight opening sequence
1. Twilight, Breaking Dawn part 2 (2012) – opening scene analysis
The sequence is really good at setting the mood of the film, as it brings together elements from
all the previous films to make the last ever film. Visually, the credits show various parts of
picturesque landscapes turning to ice, including to Bella’s transformation into a vampire. The
audio comes across as very daunting. At the start when the title of the film comes up it creates
an effect and sound as if its sparkling how the vampires do in the films. The asynrconous music
is filled with violin and piano instruments, giving out a dark vibe, then it becomes rather
mysterious, you can also hear a wolf howling and the sounds of ice forming, cracking under
pressure. The name theme colours are red and white, with some black and grey involved.
