The Video Receptionist is the only fully interactive, self-service office receptionist system available
today.
The Video Receptionist offers a cost-effective alternative to paying a receptionist to greet and interact with
guests in an office building or lobby environment. Using the latest technology in hardware and software,
the Video Receptionist provides two-way video and audio communications between visitors and your
office employees. Video Receptionist system consists of one or more Video Receptionist Directories and
multiple Video Receptionist Clients.
The Video Receptionist Directory (VRD) is the touch screen LCD PC that visitors use to
contact the employee inside the building they wish to speak with. The VRD includes a visual
list of employees and indicates their availability to be contacted.
Employees are notified by the Video Receptionist Client (VRC) when a visitor attempts to VRD
contact them through the Directory. The Video Receptionist Client is a small application that
runs on the employees PC. The Video Receptionist Client can include a desktop web camera
