2. Night into morning slips
all things turn
in time, how slow or swift
it is ours to conceive.

The seasons come not to stay but leave
life’s joyous cries do end in grief
nature’s harsh contours form , shift and vanish
in worlds that are born only to perish.
nothing stays, Nothing moves, nothing is.

4. And so in tenuous beauty I find relish
before fleeting pleasures become dry embers
caught only in memory’s vague mirror
where, in sweet sadness, they glow a little longer .
But then, something in me perceives :
relish is relief , not release.
