Focusing / Responsibilities:
Safety
o Assist in conducting emergency response drills within factory.
o To give Company policy awareness to all company employees / business affiliates.
o Conduct drills/exercises are to familiarize the working personnel that what kind of emergency
action to be taken in case of Accidents/Incidents and to familiarizing the proper reporting
procedures to concern persons and departments. The following are some of the exercises/drills we
conducting regularly to alert of the workforce at all time.
o Ensure no sub-contractor is permitted to work on site without being in possession of a safety file.
Contractors must then be advised by the safety officer to compile the correct documentation based
on their scope of work.
o Procuring PPE and other safety materials.

o Ensure that only authorized persons enter the site by issuing each employee with an access card.
Ensure no illegal immigrants are employed on the project by ensuring an id book is presented prior
to preparing the access card. Compile a contract with the security company at the beginning of
each contract which defines their responsibilities and contract obligations. Ensure no vehicle
enters the site without a vehicle permit. All other vehicles to sign in and random searching to be
carried out by the security company to prevent theft. Ensure the security guards on duty do not
allow any goods to be removed off site without a valid gate pass..
o Ensure that all teams conduct a toolbox talk.
o Ensure that any person who is suspected to be under the influence of intoxicating substances is
tested and the appropriate disciplinary action is taken against that employee if necessary.
o Liaison with local area authority.
o Supervise main contractor and sub-contractor personnel.
o Monitor all foreign workers activity and issue on site through CCTV Cameras.
o Control on vehicles and personnel movement IN/OUT of the plant/site.
Environment
o Collection of environmental data (emissions, volatile compounds) on a periodic basis to monitor
against targets
o To ensure segregation of solid waste & monitoring of solid waste data.
o Reporting of environmental KPI’s (electricity, gas, water consumption) to environmental engineer.
o Take readings of noise & air emission levels with help of sound meters / gas analyzers
o Assist in carrying out ISO 14001 internal audits – support in creation of NCR & corrective action
plans.
o To provide environmental awareness to employees, contractors & visitors via tool box talks etc.
o To assist in environmental incidents reporting & investigations.
o To keep up to date records and maintaining filing of all environmental data.
o Assist in implementation of ISO 14001 standards in the organization in order to achieve IMS
o To ensure legal compliance & that departmental SOP’s are in line with ISO 14001 standards
o Develop, prepare and distribute safety promotion material and construction related safety
procedures.
