11. He craves all the day long [and does no work],
But the righteous [willingly] gives and does
not withhold [what he has].
EXTRAORDINARY GIVER
“BE GENEROUS”
12. For God so loved the world that He gave His
only begotten Son, that whoever believes in
Him should not perish but have everlasting
life.
21. You have sown much, and harvested little;
you eat, but you never have enough;
you drink, but you never have your fill;
you clothe yourselves, but no one is warm;
and you that earn wages earn wages to put
them into a bag with holes.
NO GOD’S PROTECTION
22. Judas has a bag mindset.
He betrayed Jesus for 30 pieces of
silver because he felt never enough.
23. For where your treasure is,
there your heart will be also.
25. 1 “And if you faithfully obey the voice of
the LORD your God, being careful to do all His
commandments that I command you today,
the LORD your God will set you high above all
the nations of the earth.
2 And all these blessings shall come upon you
and overtake you, if you obey the voice of
the LORD your God.
26. What you keep is all you have.
What you give, God multiplies.
27. 5 When Jesus looked up and saw a great crowd
coming toward him, he said to Philip, “Where
shall we buy bread for these people to eat?”
6 He asked this only to test him, for he already
had in mind what he was going to do.
7 Philip answered him, “It would take more
than half a year’s wages to buy enough bread
for each one to have a bite!”
28. 8 Another of his disciples, Andrew, Simon
Peter’s brother, spoke up, 9 “Here is a boy
with five small barley loaves and two small
fish, but how far will they go among so
many?”
10 Jesus said, “Have the people sit
down.” There was plenty of grass in that
place, and they sat down (about five
thousand men were there).
29. 11 Jesus then took the loaves, gave thanks, and
distributed to those who were seated as much
as they wanted. He did the same with the fish.
12 When they had all had enough to eat, he said
to his disciples, “Gather the pieces that are left
over. Let nothing be wasted.”
13 So they gathered them and filled twelve
baskets with the pieces of the five barley loaves
left over by those who had eaten.
30. What you keep is all you have.
What you give, God multiplies.
31. The Bible didn’t say to keep
so you would be given or hoard
and you will be blessed.
32. "Give, and it will be given to you. They
will pour into your lap a good measure--
pressed down, shaken together, and
running over. For by your standard of
measure it will be measured to you in
return."
36. 9 Honor the LORD with your wealth And with
the first fruits of all your crops (income);
10 Then your barns will be abundantly filled
And your vats will overflow with new wine.
BEST
37. 8 “Will a man rob God? Yet you are robbing
Me! But you say, ‘How have we robbed You?’
In tithes and offerings.
9 You are cursed with a curse, for you
are robbing Me, the whole nation of you!
38. 10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse,
so that there may be food in My house, and
test Me now in this,” says the LORD of hosts,
“if I will not open for you the windows of
heaven and pour out for you a blessing until it
overflows.
39.
40. What did we bring into the world? Nothing!
What can we take out of the world? Nothing!
41. …The purpose of tithing is to teach you
always to put God first in your lives.
43. And God will generously provide all you need.
Then you will always have everything you
need and plenty left over to share with
others.
44. When we give and trust God,
we will lack nothing.
45. "In everything I showed you that by working
hard in this manner you must help the weak
and remember the words of the Lord Jesus,
that He Himself said,
'It is more blessed to give than to receive.'"
